Prelude - Rockmaw Run: Heart and Hammer

The Age of Magic is ended, Bhall, the Goddess of Fire, has succumbed to the whispers of Agares and fallen into Hell. Her worshipers and creations driven mad, and fire, which has been a powerful ally to man, has turned against him. Each good god was charged with the opposition of an evil god. Bhall was responsible for balancing Mulcarn, the God of Winter. Finding himself unopposed Mulcarn has broken The Compact and moved into Creation.

Creation was on the verge of another open war between the gods, that which they had outlawed with The Compact. To keep that from happening a deal was struck and the gods agreed that one god would enter Creation to challenge Mulcarn. That was Sucellus, the God of Nature. The two gods battled across the face of Creation, entire civilizations still recovering from the Burning Skies that marked the fall of Bhall were destroyed by their power. In the end Sucellus was killed and Mulcarn remained.

The Eternal Winter has begun...

Assuming the Orc moved East, then again it might have gone SE. Either way, my movement still stands, as I will be able to attack it directly...
[Dwarven]"Stupendous job Brothers," Torrak cries triumphantly as he admires both his brother's and the templar's handiwork, "There appears to be only one left!" He then adds, "Keep up the good work and let us pray that these vile dogs have been left without reinforcements!"

The muscular dwarf then rushes forward and bellows loudly as he swings his weapon yet again.

[Orcish]"Prepare to meet your maker, you rotten arse-faced mistake of a rock-herder!"
5 ft. step West and then another Flurry of Blows on the remaining Orc. No need to take prisoners, me thinks! ;-)

Round 4 Initiative: Torrak 23.5, Templar 13.0, Torias 7.2, Orcs 6.0

The orc didn't move. I'll post map.

Also I assume that Torrak is changing Goblin for Orc language (I haven't see the OOC forums yet) just like Torias did.
Torrak encourages his brother and the Templar to take out the last lone orc. He leaps forward cursing and insulting the orc with some pretty creative insults. He then goes ahead to help the orc along in meeting that arse-faced appearance. With a solid powerful strike of is staff he cracks the orc on the face and shatters's it nose. With two step backwards, and a spray of blood and snot the orc screams out in rage and pain. A second smack from the staff's other end connects with its jaw and breaks out half a dozen teeth sending them scattering like coins into the dirt. The war drums and screams of more orcs nearby fills the canyon, and the hopes that there no other orcs near is quickly dashed to the ground, just like this one's chompers. Still on its feet it spits out blood and a tooth barely staggering there.
Torrak 5ft W, Flurry of Blows: 18 Hit for 7 Dmg/13 Hit for 7 Dmg
The Templar is starting to show his fatigue, the dwarves hammer swings short missing the toothless noseless orc. The dwarf pants heavily, his armor and wounds are still weighing him down, but he bolsters his resolve with Torrak's shouting.

[Orc] You illiterate blasphemer of the holy scripture! Look at the hole in my shield! You shall pay for that!

Torias moves forward and swings his axe at the last orc,
move SW, NW, attack orc.

Round 4 Initiative: Torrak 23.5, Templar 13.0, Torias 7.2, Orcs 6.0

Buffs and Penalties
Dwarves +1 Att vs Orcs
Torias shouts a big game as he moves around the Templar. His axe comes in a swing at the last Orc but he hits the rocky pile of debis and his weapon bangs off the rocks, perhaps even nicking the blade. The Cleric steadies himself from the shaking axe in his hand but can't attack any so quickly.
Torias: Move, Attack Orc: 8 Miss
The last orc fights to the end, and as a result he remains where he is and attacks the Templar once more. Heaving his falchion up overhead it readies to chop heavyly into the Templar. Ooops. Swinging the weapon back so fast causes it to loose it grip and before it can recover the orc has tossed its weapon behind it! Fumbling the blade now is a critical error that might just cost it its wretched life.

A laugh almost escapes Torrak's mouth as he tries to maintain his composure. Keep it solid Torrak, Death is never pretty and never to be taken lightly!

[Dwarven]"Be prepared to run brothers!" he cries aloud as he brings one end of his staff up towards the dying orc's crotch. The warrior's intent is to make the creature double over in pain and then end its misery by crushing its skull. "The Templar and I," he then adds prior to his attack, "shall dispatch this cretin. Heal us if you can then let us leave this place!"
Hopefully this round will be spent killing the orc and having a channeled energy go off to heal us some more if need be. Then the next round, we start running our stubby little asses off!

Torrak is on the verge of laughing when he slams the head of his quarterstaff into the groin of the enemy Orc. The staff connects solidly in the grunlings of the Orc. Its eyes nearly bug out of its head and it tries to scream in pain but its voice is so high pitched only goblin dogs can hear it. Before it topples over the dwarven monk smashes it in the face once more ending its pain and mercifully killing the brute. The body crashes to the ground with a crunch, the last of the orcs right here lies there still.
Torrak: Flurry of Blows: 14 Hit for 8 Dmg/15 Hit for 7 Dmg, Very Dead
Excellent! Combat well fought. Everyone did great. You can play out the rest of the round if you like. The sound of more orcs nearing very soon is obvious in the canyons. Also picking left or right will need to be done.

"Huzzah," cries Torrak aloud, his assault felling the last of the remaining orcs, "Another one for the dung-heap!" The monk's gaze then turns grim as he hears the surrounding chaos approaching. "Time to leave me thinks," he then adds, motioning for his brother to approach, "Best you burst us real quick and then we try to figure out which way is down..."
Would like a quick heal for the Templar's sake and then try to determine slope downward if at all possible and take that path!

Torias calls upon his God and causes a burst of heal on everyone. Then he points to the left fork, which leads downward
(Dwarven): "I think it must be this way, hurry, brother!"

Torias calls on Kilmorph, pounding his axe on his shield, and stomping his feet on the ground. A dusty rumbling wave of energy washes outwards from Torias, "<Dwarven>Skin like stone, nerves like steel! Kilmorph bless us with your ever sturdy healing!" The wave rolls over the three and everyone feels a sense of healing as their wounds are knitted together. This is no light and fluffy healing of the Elohim, or the plain and simple healing of the Icatian medics. This is a hard, gritty, stoney healing. The wounds knit back together painfully, but when its finished the pain subsides and the flesh is fixed.
Remember I love when you really play it up on the spell casting effects and stuff.

A slight grimace creeps across Torrak's face as the Crafter's blessing washes over him. His wounds merely superficial, the experience is far from uncomfortable. Nonetheless, the ordeal quickly reminds Torrak of his mortality and how quickly life can be taken away from an individual.

Kilmorph keep us and mold us daily... the dwarf prays to himself silently, watching on as the remaining Templar begins to wince and writhe in discomfort, ...May his hands shape and cleanse us, lest we become flawed and marred with sin.

Upon sensing the completion of his brother's magic, Torrak then sighs a heavy breath and thanks him sincerely. "Much obliged brother! May the Crafter's blessings serve us well..." He then adds, "If the left passage takes us down into the valley, then let us be off and tarry no longer than necessary!"

A quick turn to the still-recovering templar and Torrak then asks, "What say you clansman, are you ready to run some more? Tis only a few miles more and I'm sure we'll have more than enough chance to kill a few more orcs along the way...HAH!"

exclaims nervously
