Act 7 - No Shortage of Peril

The Age of Magic is ended, Bhall, the Goddess of Fire, has succumbed to the whispers of Agares and fallen into Hell. Her worshipers and creations driven mad, and fire, which has been a powerful ally to man, has turned against him. Each good god was charged with the opposition of an evil god. Bhall was responsible for balancing Mulcarn, the God of Winter. Finding himself unopposed Mulcarn has broken The Compact and moved into Creation.

Creation was on the verge of another open war between the gods, that which they had outlawed with The Compact. To keep that from happening a deal was struck and the gods agreed that one god would enter Creation to challenge Mulcarn. That was Sucellus, the God of Nature. The two gods battled across the face of Creation, entire civilizations still recovering from the Burning Skies that marked the fall of Bhall were destroyed by their power. In the end Sucellus was killed and Mulcarn remained.

The Eternal Winter has begun...

Braedon draws back on his bow, and pulls back even more, then fires. His first shot is half way to the target before his second is on the way. That first arrow is low, it skims under the feet of the Crepitus. The second arrow clips the thing in the leg, almost lodging in with a serious shot, but the devil flinches just right, and the wound is only a graze. His third arrow just barely clips it on the shoulder, opening another light wound. Still the thing is screaming in frustration and pain and looking bad off now, really really bad off now.

Then the golem, a thrull with little mind, attacks. Its long hooked arms can still reach Drak and it has a single minded purpose -- kill one thing at a time. It slams a hook into the side of Drak, who roars, then it slams it other hook into his other side. Like a pair of pincers it shakes and lifts Drak into the air. The man goes unconscious from the pain and blood loss. The thrull then pitches Drak to the ground in a heap of blood -- he could be dead!

Torn between fighting the golem and dealing with the devil, Celevan splits his attention. He focuses on the devil, while the hound archon continues to focuses on the golem. To that end, Celevan summons forth a glittering cloud of lights to cover the devil and hinder its attempts to turn invisible.

Then the hound archon tears into the golem, hoping to get past its magical toughness.

It can probably dispel that too. But at least it'll delay it a round.

Torias directs his spiritual ally and weapon to attack the crepitus. Then he casts a spell on himself.
Free: Spiritual Ally: attack crepitus
Move action: change target: Spiritual Weapon: attack crepitus
Standard: Cast on the defensive: Channel Vigor (Limbs) on self, works as a haste spell. (If I read correctly, the haste is gone, right? If not, attack Golem with axe.

As the spiritual ally is a spell, I think it is unaffected by the dust.

Celevan splits his focus, the Golem and the Crepitus are both dangerous foes. He waves his hand and a spray of glittering particles fall on the flying devil. It screams and claws at its eyes, "I'm blind! I'm blind!" It flutters about sort of awkwardly. The Spirit Ally is all glowing now as well, but since it is pure force it can't be blinded.

The Hound focuses on the golem, and bites it on the shoulder, he rips out a small hunk of treated flesh, spitting out it out with a foul taste in its mouth now. The archon is focused on the taste, and its claw only manages to hit armor.

Drak, laying on the ground, continues to bleed out.

Torias then enhances his own speed, it doesn't help the others, or the dying Drak, but he is ready to wade into melee. He directs both his spirit creations to target the Crepitus. They do so. Both strike, and both seem to hit, but there is a strange effect, like a boomerang the wounds they inflict are turned and channeled into Torias! He is sliced and hit by his own summons!

The Crepitus is laughing, then it dispels the Glitterdust, able to see once more, and flies down low behind the golem and the furniture there out of line from the archers.

As the winged demon flutters behind the massive golem, Braedon begins another trio of shots but this time at the larger armored foe.

Braedon puts an arrow to the bow, traces the devil's flight down behind the golem. So he releases his arrow at the golem instead, big target that it is. The arrow strikes one of the heavy metal plates on the thrull and it bounces right back at him and grazes Braedon near the eyes! He yelps and grabs for his face, blinded for a moment by his own shot!

Dreams...
Braedon: Rapid Shot, Deadly Aim, PBS: vs Golem: "1" (Fumble Chance: 16) Fumble: "Bull's Eye: Your shot ricochets and hits you near the eyes. YOU are blinded for 1 round!"

That's the end of your round too! Crazy bad round for you guys

Dreams scoops up her sword in one hand, her bow still in the other. She then darts around Torias and the corpse of Drak. As she moves past the dead Drak she's hit with the long reaching hook of the golem, and a big wound is ripped down her side. She presses on and reaches the Crepitus who is cowering behind the table.

The Calabim Thrull Golem considers chasing Dreams, but she moves on, and its eyes stray to Torias. With both arms up it slams them down at the dwarf. He is hit on the shoulder, then only just barely avoids the second one. The blow is brutal and another one like that he'll be joining Drak bleeding out on the floor.

Celevan and company...

Golem: Full Attack Torias: 28 Hit for, 23 Miss (thanks to Vigor): 19 Dmg

Torias, very uncharacteristically, curses as his spells go awry and he is hurt instead. He grunts as the golem hits him and considers his next action.
Need some info before Torias acts.

"With most of this spells spent, Celevan instead hefts his morningstar and wades into battle with the golem. Hand-to-hand fighting wasn't his strength, that was certain, but it was all he could do now.
