Act 9 - Chimera Cove

The Age of Magic is ended, Bhall, the Goddess of Fire, has succumbed to the whispers of Agares and fallen into Hell. Her worshipers and creations driven mad, and fire, which has been a powerful ally to man, has turned against him. Each good god was charged with the opposition of an evil god. Bhall was responsible for balancing Mulcarn, the God of Winter. Finding himself unopposed Mulcarn has broken The Compact and moved into Creation.

Creation was on the verge of another open war between the gods, that which they had outlawed with The Compact. To keep that from happening a deal was struck and the gods agreed that one god would enter Creation to challenge Mulcarn. That was Sucellus, the God of Nature. The two gods battled across the face of Creation, entire civilizations still recovering from the Burning Skies that marked the fall of Bhall were destroyed by their power. In the end Sucellus was killed and Mulcarn remained.

The Eternal Winter has begun...

Torias, wounded, steps back a bit and casts a healing spell on himself.
5ft step northwest.
Convert "Cure Diesease" into Cure Serious Wounds and cast it for 3d8+9 hp. Sheet adjusted.

Round 4 Thrulls 25, Torias 21, Dreams 20, Nate 19, Lineos 9
Torias is wounded enough that he is forced to retreat a bit, he steps back and summons his power to cure much of his wounds. Even at that moment Nate fires and clips only the side of the thing, two of his shots fail to make contact. Wounded it doesn't see Dreams step in and slice, her blade connects for a nice hack into the creature.

Lineos...

Because of the long delay, due to my Covid-19, I'm going to just narrate this...
The last of the Thrulls on this side of the door falls to Lineos' blade. With the company grouped out out of range of the Drop Scorpion the others on the far side decide its time to change tactics. They leap onto the large wooden door, and like some sort of creep spiders they scamper and climb horizontally across to join you.

You keep Nate out of the melee so he can use his Icatian firearm on the creatures as they climb across the massive door. He fire once and knocks one off the wall sending it falling into the salty water below where you loose track of it. The other two pounce on Torias, Dreams and Lineos and score a few minor blows, but working together Dwarf, Elf and Kenku fell one quickly, and avoid the second's strikes until you can turn all your focus on it ending its life.
I'm going to make a few minor edits to your sheets. Battle over.

Dreams 56/84 HPs
Torias 46/66 HPs
Lineos 42/65 HPs
Nate 83/88 HPs

This is a general map of the cave. All the enemies are dead, you are near the doors.

As all the enemies are dead, Nate takes stock and realizes he really needed to try to stock up on healing supplies when they were last in a real town. The creepy zombie mind-controlled town was messed up, but they probably had some potions or a rod or something. "So, these Thrulls are really strong. We saw that back at the docks of course, but it looks like all of them are. We need to get better at working together at taking them down. Myself included. Everyone just running up them as individuals, well, hurts." He presses a hand firmly down on the most bleeding wound he happens to have. "Anybody got any healing items or whatever?"

Dreams says, "I have some healing magic, but I'm wary of using it now, while we're still in relatively good shape. But if we coordinate better to take on the thrulls, we should certainly do so. Do you have any ideas on how we can best do so?"

Torias produces a wand and touches everyone who is hurt with it.
Wand of CLW - first use up the one with 4 uses left, then go on to the other one with 19 left. Keep the one with 50 left for now.

The firearms expert laughs as he is bonked on the head multiple times with a Wand. "Dignified." He takes the time to clean out the barrel of his musket. It only takes a minute.

The Thrulls are harder than expected, and some of you suffer some bad wounds until Torias begins his ministrations. His first wand is expended, the magic in it fades, and it becomes nothing more than a small dark wood stick. He's had this wand for ages it seems, its healed half a dozen companions over the years, the end of an era. He tucks it away and heals you up with a second wand until everyone is feeling better once again.

"Thanks Torias. I feel much better now." He's done with his preventative maintenance and puts away his cleaning kit. "I had previously thought spiders crawling were creepy. Seeing Thrulls scuttle across like that is unnerving." He heads towards the doors as they seem the obvious way to continue their progression.
