Act 9 - Chimera Cove

The Age of Magic is ended, Bhall, the Goddess of Fire, has succumbed to the whispers of Agares and fallen into Hell. Her worshipers and creations driven mad, and fire, which has been a powerful ally to man, has turned against him. Each good god was charged with the opposition of an evil god. Bhall was responsible for balancing Mulcarn, the God of Winter. Finding himself unopposed Mulcarn has broken The Compact and moved into Creation.

Creation was on the verge of another open war between the gods, that which they had outlawed with The Compact. To keep that from happening a deal was struck and the gods agreed that one god would enter Creation to challenge Mulcarn. That was Sucellus, the God of Nature. The two gods battled across the face of Creation, entire civilizations still recovering from the Burning Skies that marked the fall of Bhall were destroyed by their power. In the end Sucellus was killed and Mulcarn remained.

The Eternal Winter has begun...

Lienos moves forward smoothly, nocks an arrow and lets lose on the enemy.
Move E, NE, Ex2, NE, E, then Shoot at #3.

Round 2 Thrulls 25, Torias 21, Dreams 20, Nate 19, Lineos 9

Round 3 Thrulls 25, Torias 21 , Dreams 20, Nate 19, Lineos 9
Lineos closes the gap further and then fires up over the head of the group. The angle of the rise works to his advantage and the arrow pierces the badly wounded Thrull through the eye. It topples over dead!

Then the two near to Torias pounce on the dwarf. He is attacked and struck four time over and over. He takes a terrible stab to the chest that causes him to swoon and he's dazed from the blow limiting his reactions even as he's stab in the side, then bitten twice. Each bite he can feel the magic in him draining away, but he holds fast to it can keeps it from being siphoned off.

The three thrulls at the drop scorpion have reloaded, and they launch a big rock at Lineos. He tries to dodge and is clipped on the wing.

The group, except for Torias who is dazed...
Lineos: Move, Attack: 29 Hit for 11 -5/Magic = 6 Dmg = DEAD

"Arghghgh!!!" The cleric screams out as he is hit. Torias can now only feel the pain in his chest, and it takes all his concentration to still keep standing. Reflexively, he tries to dodge the blows.

Dreams moves up so she is standing next to Nate and looses an arrow at the nearest thrull.
Move Action: Ex4 so I'm 1N of Nate
Standard Action: Attack vs. thrull #2 with bow: +14 to hit, 1d6+0 damage

"Get off him, you bastards!" The gunslinger keeps up his firing pattern, his hands moving in precise movements even when the rest of him is raging. "Touch him again and you're dead!"
Stay where I am and keep up the shooting. Rapid Shot / Deadly Aim (To Hit 12/12/7, Damage 1d12+14), trying to finish off these guys. If the guys up front are dead, I'll switch to the farther Thrulls. Although at this distance I've got a ... -4 to Hit and would be vs normal AC instead of touch AC.

Torias struggles against the wounds, even ad Dreams joins Nate now almost in melee range. She fires, but her bow, non-magical, shoots a regular arrow that just bounces off the Thrull's magical hide.

Nate on the other hands, loads his alchemical cartidge, and fires off a blast of three shots from his magical musket. The blows tear off its head after the third impact sending it toppling over the cliff into the water with a splash and blood sprays against the back wall.

Torias: Dazes
Dreams: Move, Shoot #2: (-4 Into Meelee wihout Pricese Shot) 26 Hit for 4 - 5/DR Magic = 0 Dmg

Double move next to Nate, and switch weapons.

Lineos charges up the ramp, switching bow for blade.

The trio of Thrulls reloads their Scorpion, while the other focuses on Torias. He blocks, and avoids the blade and bit strikes from it, leaving you a moment of respite from wounds.

The group...

"Alright, keep up the heat! We finish this one off, then move on to those slow-pokes by the rock-thrower." Granted, it's Torias that keeps getting beaten up, but those are inconvenient facts. He continues his firing pattern, knocking down more of these monstrous Thrulls.

Dreams drops her bow, draws her sword and steps forward, attacking the thrull that is attacking Torias.
Free Action: Drop Bow
Free Action: Quick Draw: Draw elven curve blade
Move Action: SEx2, so I'm 1N of the thrull
Standard Action: Attack with elven curve blade vs. thrull
