Ardus smiles, "I will assist Master Tsanthos in such matter, Lord-Captain. None will stand in the way of the Trsak Dynasty. Nathin, perhaps we should look into addeding a Letter of Marque to the Warrant of Trade in the furture. Could be a simple way to gain more vessels...", Ardus suggests.

The last good-byes are said and the senior crew transfer back to the Fell Hand. Some last vox messages are exchanged and then the officers of the Fell Hand are on their stations on the bridge (or the enginarium) ready to get the ship moving. The jump point is not far away (about half an hour's trip). Everyone hopes the almost-wrecked ship will withstand the Warp and survive the journey unharmed.

Trask appoints new officers and then gets the Sabre moving to plunder the Righteous Path.

Ardus stands off to teh side, mumbling prayers for safe travel and benedictions protecting the crew and ship from the touch of the warp. He's more worried than he'll let on, but keeps his wits and weapons about him. He glance down at the adamantine sgield strapped to his arm, a gift from Trask and hopes the man will watch his back.

Lorayne is even more rigid in her protocol and in overseeing her troops than normal. She is having a difficult time looking ahead and so spends her time making sure the armsmen are ready and that the guns are prepared in case of disaster.

Trask says his goodbyes to his faithful command crew. He knows his rash and inexperienced younger brother will have good council. He hopes Tibur takes it. He then turns to business, preparing to stripe the Righteous Path to the husk and reap his rewards.

"Welcome, all, to the soon-to-not-be-called Fell Hand." Nathin stands At-Ease in front of the command throne. "We've got a short trip to the jump point; let's get under way."

The crew of the bridge gets to work, plotting the course and engaging the plasma drives. He walks over to Ardus. "Perhaps a blessing over the ship and our travels, Missionary."

Melvust finds himself in the enginarium of the ship. He gives orders to check all the systems and machines once again and performs himself a final check to make sure that the ship won't break apart during their warp jump.

Once they start moving he and his team of tech-priest are constantly monitoring all the vital systems.

Ardus nods and takes a place near the controls, incense swirling around him and the others like a musky shroud. "As you wish, Lord-Captain.", he says to Nathin.

"Golden Throne, He who sits on Terra, we your humble servants and dedicated of the Imperium of Man seek your blessings. Let your Light and Hand guide us threw the terrors of the Warp and see us safely to oue destination. Without you we are lost and nothing. With you we have purpose and cause. Keep us protected under your wings as we contiune to serve you, even in the darkest of days. We wish to serve you and yearn to sit at your side in the afterlife. The Emperor's speed to us all. Imperator est..." Ardus nods and looks at Nathin, letting him know the 41st Benediction of Potection is complete.

Aleksander settles into his new Navigator's Well. He's pleased with what the previous owner has done to the place, even if it will take a little getting used to. He's transferred over what items he cares to keep, a few pieces of idiosyncratic furniture, some artwork, his collection of print books, and the like. He also consents to have a servitor temporarily assigned to him while his personal steward learns the layout of the new Navigator's Well. Being blind allowed the former soldier to serve him even when he was in Warp and kept his Third Eye open all the time. But it did mean that he needed time to familiarize himself with a new location if he was to move around it without trouble.

The Benetek Navigator knows that he's a bit old-fashioned having a human servant rather than a servitor. But the Beneteks have always had personal servants. And he hies to the old ways. Besides, A human was far better at anticipating his needs. No servitor would ever intuit when he might want a cup of tea and when a glass of amsec, or which set of clothes would be best worn on any given day. For that, a real person was needed.

Eventually, however, Aleksander is prepared to bring the Fell Hand - or whatever it ends up being called on its new papers - to the shipyard for repairs. He sleeps for most of the day prior to departure, and sees no one save the command crew, resting himself both physically and mentally for the ordeal ahead.

Finally, he's ready. Moving into the center of the Navigator's Well, he sits in a chair that probably costs more than one of the Fell Hand's shuttles and connects his vox to the captain's console. "Ready for entry into the Warp on your command, captain," he says simply.

Into the Warp

Post by Grimbold » Thu Jan 26, 2012 1:24 pm

The Fell hand slowly trundles to the jump point and when they arrive there, the captain gives the signal.

For a few seconds the lights go out and a slight shudder goes through the ship as the warp drives are launched and draw almost all the energy from the plasma generators and for half a minute a strange whining, whirring sound can be heard throughout the ship. Then the sound stops.

The Fell Hand has translated into the Warp!
