"I think our contact is in the back," Trask says, and whips up his pistol to put a round into the mutant.
Half: Aim at mutant.
Half: Shoot mutant with pistol.

Alexander shoots at the mutant and hits him in the chest, but the thick skinned brute just shrugs off the shot. Then Ardus cleaves into him with his chainsword, striking it at the hip and cutting an impressive gash - some weird looking intestines can be seen and a lot of blood comes out! This blow would have killed two men but the mutant just howls in fury and slashes his great chainaxe at Trask. Right before the strike connects, Trask calmly takes a step back and the blow misses! Trask shoots at the mutant point blank, but he miscalculates the brute's motion and the shot just fizzles the hair on it's head...
Aleksander: move shoot: r43 vs 75 hit. Dodge roll: 61, not dodged. Damage: 6 (-2A-7pen=0)-8T=0

Ardus: aim/attack: r35 vs 68 hit for 16 (righteous fury: r10 confirmed)+15=31 damage. 31-(2-2)-8=23!

Trask: aim/shoot pistol: r81 vs 80 miss! Sorry, but that is what the dice say. You have one shot in your pistol left.

Mutant: all out attack on <Trask: r37 vs ?? Hit. Dodge: r32 vs 58, success. Would have been: 17 damage with 2 pen.

I will be away in Italy next week. Take the week to spend 400 XP!

Don't sweat it, Grim. If the rolls suck, they suck.
Cursing under his breath, Trask notices that his pistol is almost empty and only one shot is left. So he aims carefully again to put the mutant out of their despicable misery.
Aim.
Shoot same mutant again.

Likewise, Aleksander takes careful aim at the mutant and fires his hellpistol.
Aim and fire at the mutant.

Is there some easy way to tell how many shots I have left?

Ardus' mouth gapes open as he stares at the mutant. Surely not even one of the Adeptus Astartes could have withstood a blow like that! This creature must be touched not only by mutation, but also the power of the dark gods themselves. The light of indignation flares in the missionary's eyes, and he cries out for justice against the unclean!

Sorry for the delay. Still online sporadically during August, back in September. Thanks for hanging on.
Trask: Aim, shoot (in melee, so point blank does not count, but -20 from into melee are also ignored):r42 vs 50, dodge: no dodge because he all out attacked last round. Hit on the arm for 13 (-2A-13pen=0)-8T=5 damage

Aleksander: aim/shoot: r71 vs 85, hit on the head for 11-(2-7=0)-8T=3 damage

Ardus: all out attack: r71 vs 78 hit on the head for 15-(2-2)-8=7 damage.
Trask shoots at the giant mutant with his inferno pistol and with a hissing sound, he melts off the beast's right arm, causing it to drop his chainaxe. Aleksander's well aimed shot hits it in the head, blowing off a part of it's skull and as it reels back, Ardus takes advantage of the opening and beheads the vile mutant with a sweep of his chainsword. The headless body topples over, crushing a metal table and lies still, twitching for a few more seconds. In the back room, you can now see a human, tied to a chair and gagged, and missing one leg, that has recenlty (ie in the last 10 minutes) been sawed off. He is bleeding heavily and on the verge of passing out.

The Missionary lifts his chainsword about his head in celebration, a victorious battle cry ringing throughout the room. He revs the weapon loudly, spraying blood and gore all over himself and others. He spits upon the body of the mutant, then passes by it without further notice. The thing was a blight in the sight of the God-Emperor, and now it does not exist.

Ardus strides over to the poor, mutilated, gagged man. To be tortured so is a pity. If the man's life cannot be saved, then the man of faith will end his suffering immediately.

Pilarius - your contact

Post by Grimbold » Thu Aug 22, 2013 11:09 pm

Ardus has some medical training and can stop the blood loss on the man and revive him and remove the gag.

"Are you Trask? They wanted some information from me and then kill me. And they said they wanted to ambush someone named Trask. My name's Pilarius, and I think we wanted to meet." The man says weakly.
Still offline most of the time, but will be back in september. Will pick up speed after that.

Ardus ignores the babbling until he has managed to bind the worst of the wounds. "I'm certainly not Trask, just a missionary of the God-Emperor." He gestures over his shoulder. "The one over there with the fancy pistol, there's the man you want to talk to." He gives the wounds another once-over, making sure he didn't miss anything life-threatening.
