Book 2: Act 2 - What Lies Beyond

Enter the Stolen Lands, a wilderness claimed by nobles, bandits, and beasts alike. Into this territory the fractious country of Brevoy sends its emissaries, tasking them with subduing the lawless folk and deadly creatures that have made it a realm of savagery and shame. Beyond the last rugged frontier stretches the home of voracious monsters, capricious fey, wily natives, and bandits who bow to the rule of a merciless lord none dare defy. Can the our heroes survive the Stolen Lands, bring their dangers to heel, and lay the foundations of a new kingdom? Or will they just be one more fateful band, lost forever to the ravenous wilds?

All this talk of elven ruins makes Aetoron reflect back a bit, "Perhaps we are overlooking the obvious here. Cal, did we ever make arrangements for that statue in the old elven keep to be brought back to Stagfall?"
Number Two: "You are number six."
Number Six: "I am not a number, I am a free man!"
Number Two: "Muh ha ha ha ha!"

"I'd been thinking about keeping it for the palace," he replies. Then he smirks and adds, "that is, when we get a palace." He shrugs. "But since that'll probably be a while," he adds. "We might as well sell the statue now if we can find a buyer."

Lem comes to the meeting late. The Marshall had been riding through the green belt and has a story to tell.

"Came across this fellow, a fisherman. He asked whether we could help him out with a giant turtle that has been spoiling his catch."

Lem joins the group who is talking about trying to get that massive stone statue from the forgotten elven keep back to Stagfall. That reminds most of the group that you still have a sack of items from your last venture you haven't had the chance to deal with. There are valuables there, a treasure map you found, and who knows what else might be among your collection.

Lem sits down and changes the subject adding even more options. Seems a local fisherman is in need of help against a massive turtle. While its not dragon hunting it is important to the citizens of Caledonia so it s worth putting on your list of things to do.
Don't forget to check this thread from time to time:
https://brennor.dyndns.org/rpg/Forums/v ... tml#249350

That has all your open quests on it.

You also have lots of loot to deal with, claim stuff or mark for sale ASAP so we can resolve that.

The End

Post by Vardaen » Fri May 02, 2014 7:59 pm

With the day growing late, you sit and talk of possible quests and loose ends you still have out there. The talk of a giant turtle, of the local flirt looking for some elven art, that strange locket from the Mad Hermit and that treasure map you got from him as well are all bandied about. There will be time to deal with that stuff soon enough. You've managed to expand the barony more and more and all this chatter stirs up your wander lust, and so you start planning your next outing.
I think I'm just going to end the chapter here. The next act you'll have plenty of options and things to do. So watch for the next chapter to start soon.
