Enter the Stolen Lands, a wilderness claimed by nobles, bandits, and beasts alike. Into this territory the fractious country of Brevoy sends its emissaries, tasking them with subduing the lawless folk and deadly creatures that have made it a realm of savagery and shame. Beyond the last rugged frontier stretches the home of voracious monsters, capricious fey, wily natives, and bandits who bow to the rule of a merciless lord none dare defy. Can the our heroes survive the Stolen Lands, bring their dangers to heel, and lay the foundations of a new kingdom? Or will they just be one more fateful band, lost forever to the ravenous wilds?
Ylyndar leads the charge he steps into the web curtain with plans to move through and fire. However the moment he steps into them he is grappled by a noose like collection of webbing. Its more than just the curtain, but a clearly devised trap that starts to strangle him around the neck. His plans are shot, and he spends the whole time wriggling free to escape the noose. Luckily he remains invisible, but the Ettercaps notice the movement on their webs.
Then Cal steps forward, appears, and four orbs of magic smack into the one Ettercap cracking ribs and blasting little marks on it for serious damage.
I moved Cal so you could actually SEE the Ettercaps, the web curtain prevents you from seeing in there so to cast you need line of sight. I moved him for that.

"Time to swat the spiders!" Garuk rushes forward (hoping to avoid the web that entangled Ylyndar) in an attempt to drop one of the ettercaps on one blow.
Swift action abberation bane on Falchion. Then charge attack (furious focus power attack) on Ettercap 1. If I manage to get tangled, my next action will be an attempt to break free. Lady can...guard our backs, I guess.
Garuk's blade glows green and he charges into the cavern with a shout. His blade lops the wounded Ettercap in half, lengthwise, and that sort of makes it hard for the creature to continue breathing. It's very dead, and the other one screams now in shock as Garuk appears from nowhere.
Aetoron and Ylyndar....

Aetoron runs through the opening in the web created by Garuk and comes to a stop next to the remaining ettercap. He then attempts to bludgeon the thing best as he can with his magical mace.

Aetoron darts in, it seems there was only one noose trap and so the Spymaster reaches his surprised foe and smacks the Ettercap in the face with his mace so hard it breaks its nose, and gives it concussion. It is barely holding on to life after that powerful and cheap shot!

Ylyndar looks around, his keen senses spot the spider in the webbing. He takes note of its size, shape, and movement, and lets an arrow fly right into its big fat belly! It scream, fluid spurts in the air, and it wriggles around in terrible pain.
The ettercap, terribly wounded, and with a dead mate now, goes into a mortal rage and pounces on Aetoron. He sinks his teeth into the elf's arm flooding his blood stream with a poison that weakend the Spymaster some. Its claws lash out but Aetoron manages to duck and dodge those.

Cal casts another spell, carefully avoiding Ylyndar, aiming two rays of fire at the spider in its web. At this point he doesn't care if the webbing goes up in flames, not with the spider still in them.
Standard Action: Cast Scorching Ray at Spider #1
If I need to 5-ft step W to avoid Ylyndar, I will.
Cal steps into the cave a bit more, and fills the spider's chamber with fire. So so much fire. The spider, the webbing, anything else in there, it all goes up in flames in an instant. The caveweaver is cooked alive in an instant, and smoke pours out of the cave now filling the main chamber some.
Cal: 5ft, Scorching Rays #1: 17 Hit for 14, 24 hit for 17 = VERY DEAD FIRE
