Yes - Vestenmannavnjar are fine. You would be a mercenary, just like most others are.

Re: Welcome Gaijin!
The Vestenmannavnjar are basically the Vendal who don't want to freaking be Danish merchants. They want to be Scandinavian Vikings still. Their magic-users are actually pretty cool. So yeah, Viking rather than Banker.

Re: Welcome Gaijin!
Since the way the characters are going, I think this is going to be a private ship with a marque from Montaigne. You've stolen a rutter from a Castillian vessel and are making your way to a place described as being very wealthy. The rutters call it, Rock Land.
I also wouldn't be overly worried about your backgrounds, none of that will really matter once you hit Rokugan (Rock Land). Simply, all that matters is that you're all Objectionist or unaligned (such as a Vestenmannavnjar would be).

And if it's not sent in time... the game is done or do we play without her?

Re: Welcome Gaijin!
I will only start with 4 players. If I don't get the character by then, I'm going to assume the new player isn't serious about the game (if I don't hear otherwise). We get a lot of new people to the site that start, or say they will start games, then disappear. Now, I'm not saying that's what's happening here, but I want to make sure.

Re: Welcome Gaijin!
I statted out the character with Nyx Tuesday night, all that was left was to make a School Technique. I'll check to see what's up.
