Ah. I thought you might have meant that.... but then I realized that I couldn't do the 3d effect with the hat and the shading and everything might look a bit odd (would have to find a sombrero at the same lighting angle). I can do the entire helmet as an eyeball, if you want. Do you want the pupil/iris pointing straight ahead or to the visible side?Vardaen wrote:Yeah, that's cool.
I was thinking the whole helmet just one giant bloodshot eyeball, with a Sombrerero ontop of the helmet itself.

Re: Brennor Fantasy Football League - Helmet Design
how's this?
Need a high resolution bloodshot eyeball. I thought images would be easy to find, but I can't find any nice ones.

Re: Brennor Fantasy Football League - Helmet Design
If you need any other helmets, just let me know. It's pretty fast to do the designs once the images/logos are found (that's the longest part). The Photoshop template makes everything nearly point and clicky, you just need the software

Re: Brennor Fantasy Football League - Helmet Design
Can you share the template for the helm? I might need some new helms for my work league, everyone loves what you've done so far.

Re: Brennor Fantasy Football League - Helmet Design
Uploaded Photoshop PSD template here:
http://brennor.dyndns.org/~shurijo/football/template.psd
Notes/Instructions:
1) Don't mess with the "don't touch" layers
2) Your working layers are in the group called "Work Layers"
:: Logo ::
To change logo, just copy/paste any logo into a layer where the current logo layer is at. If you hold Alt down and right click on the line below logo layer and above "base color" layer, you'll get the layer mask effect (which crops the logo part that go over the helmet).
:: Stripe ::
To change stripe, you can just turn on/off that layer (I recommend keeping it and just turning it off in case you decide to add one later). The base stripe (middle) color is the Color Overlay effect color, the Stroke effect is the middle stripe (alt color from bigger stripe), the Outer Glow is the outside stripe. Of course, you could turn off the Outer Glow and Stoke, if you just want a single stripe.
:: Face guard color ::
The face guard color can be changed via Color Overlay effect on the face guards layer.
:: Base color ::
The helmet's base color needs to be physically changed (can't use Color Overlay since it messes up the logo, stripes, etc.). Just use magic wand, turn off contiguous, turn off sample all layers, tolerance to 32. Make the base color layer the active layer, click outside (blank area) with magic wand to select everything else, then Select->Inverse to get the helmet selected. Then use Edit->Fill and pick your base color (or select foreground or background color, etc.).
