When you reach the room of webs, the swarm hot on your tail, you slow down as you stomp through the webbing, but the swarm is caught up in the webs more and more and more of them are snared, soon to be lunch for the spiders that reside here. By the time you cross the chamber nearly all the swarm is entangled, like flies, in the webbing, and you are free of them! Lucky for you you didn't burn them out!

What a Sticky Mess
Its futile it seems, without something like alchemist fire or a burning hands spell this mass of tiny bugs could be the end of you! Fletcher retreats to live another day, knocking them off his shoulders and chest as he retreats. Oloven smacks at the swarm as they get closer, killing half a dozen out a thousand, so not really doing much to them. Helion, stomping on them as they get near retreats as well, and the trio are quickly fleeing north with the swarm right behind you. Fletcher is bitten many more times form the ones still inside him along the way.

Oloven sighs with relief when the swarm gets caught up in the webbing. "We could continue, or we could make our way back to the tower and gear up for a second crack at this place. Who knows how many of those swarms we will run into down here."

"Lets get back to the tower and come back tomorrow. I'm not as confident in the field when Shakti is not around. Besides, I need to give Barisht a proper burial."

With a red hue filtering his vision, an innate feature built in to warn the warforged of low vitality, "Let us retrace our steps, collect the dead and make our way back to the tower. There we can regroup and prepare for our return, which will most certainly include a means of fire." With that said, Fletcher flicks what he hopes is the last centipede from his forearm and terminates it with his boot like foot.

Returned to the Grey Tower
Withdraw.
That's the key choice of the moment. The group knows when they are bested, or at least reduced enough to risk no more dangers today. Moving back through the way you came the group collects the various caches of spoils left along the way. So too are the bodies of Werz and Barisht collected for proper burials later. It isn't easy lugging all that loot and those bodies through some of the twisting and narrow passages of the Crow, especially those tunnels up above where your boat is anchored in that narrow shaft. Luckily the Tower Girls left a bunch of rope and pulleys and you're able to actually load the boat from that strange opening high above it. It takes you two hours to get everything sorted out before you are in the boat rowing back toward the mainland.
Its now around 4 am, perhaps a bit later, and you are exhausted from all the battles and the effort (save for Fletcher who never get's tired). The boat bumps the shore near the wharf where you rented it, and you tie it up. Then you are forced to find a porter with a wagon, which costs you a few extra coins at this hour. Wagon loaded you port the goods and bodies through all of Stormreach to the Grey Tower where some fellow members help you unload it. Helion and Oloven head right to bed, the loot can wait till morning. Fletcher finds the tower's smith to help repair himself and the damage he's suffered.
Its nearly noon the next day when you finally are gathered once more, refreshed and healed up. A small letter is found in your quarters from Imric the Senechal of the tower about seeking him out about a new possible member for the group. Seem fate has already stepped in to help you in that aspect.
Over the course of the late morning and early afternoon you deal with Werz's corpse, then Barisht's corpse, and eventually get to sorting, claiming, and selling the various pieces of loot. You have a few interesting finds to report to Captain Nirus, if you can find him.
By dinner time you are ready to speak to Imric and the new recruit, and find yourselves in the Drunken Shifter Tavern having a meal and a drink.

Re: Chapter 2 - In the Crow's Nest
The moment Oloven reaches the tower the only thing he can think about is sleep. In one motion that could have only been assisted by some divine ability, Oloven's armor is ripped off and his face planted in his pillow.
Come morning, Oloven is feeling much better. He has a few bruises and stiff joints but it could definitely have been worse. He climbs out of bed with a long yawn and looks down at the armor-filled floor. If it weren't for the deaths of Werz and Barisht, his armor would be the casualty to mourn. Dented, scratched and covered in bat guano are just a few things to describe it. I will need to seek out someone to clean and fix this. he mumbles as he tries to tidy up his mess.
Later that evening, Oloven sits in the Drunken Shifter with a generous piece of meat in one hand and a cup of Ale in the other. He is chatting with Helion and Fletcher about preparations for their next crack at the Crow and awaiting Imric and their new recruit.

Re: Chapter 2 - In the Crow's Nest
As the team enjoys their meal, Colonel d'Orien slips into the Drunken Shifter and looks around the room. When he sees the group of adventurers he waves and walks over. "Back, I hear," He says when he gets to the table. "Excellent, excellent. I suspected you might end up here, so I reserved the private room for us. That'll give us a chance to talk without disturbing anyone else. I'll have another round of drinks and some more food brought in." HE then moves to the door to the tavern's private room and heads inside.
