Zeevan remembers the witch, and something about trading with her. After all that has happened inside the Lady's Light, it feels like ages ago since they have last seen the outside world, let alone the people in it. Her memory is struggling to catch back up. Likely she'll be back to full strength once they get home, and she can process everything that has happened in the past days.

The Grey Maidens are a well trained and loyal group, Des looks Taris in the face. "We all did what we had to do. Let's not speak of any of it again." There is friction there, and the unit will never be the same, but war is hell and for now everyone agrees to put it to the side so you can all get the hell out of this place. Later, in Stormreach, the fall out will arise and the Grey Maidens will split, some leaving for over, others seeking redemption, no one escapes unharmed.

Orianna nods, "Yes the witch Maroux aided us as well, gave us information about the Troglodytes war, which we took care of." By that she means they slaughtered one side of the warring locals to take advantage of the other's hospitality. "Let's get out of this place."

No one needs further prompting. So you back track moving carefully but with speed. Taris remains unarmored through the trip and little by little you make it back to the entrance. With effort you escape the Lady's Light.

You actually come up at the Trog Cave, having back tracked through the tunnels.

Des' words and the cold reception betoken the loose fragments that remain after the Grey Maidens' crushed cohesion. Taris thinks back to "what they had to do" - and what she had to do, and where she would be if not for the heroes (who seem to be fragmenting as well). She looks away and sets her jaw bitterly.

She nods to Orianna. Right, the monsters. Well, the boggards seemed reasonable enough.

In the tunnels, she wrinkles her nose at the smell of brine, reptilian mucus, and cave fungus. "Is this the way we came through last time?"

Zeevan has to strain to see more than last time, her new human eyes not as sharp in the dark as when she was a Suli. She generally tries to avoid interacting wit the remaining Grey Maidens much, given the bad blood. She idly wonders what the demons will do now that their master has been defeated. His Sorshen disguise got them past a number of the creatures. Perhaps they will stay there forever, although given how chaotic their natures are, something is bound to change. Regardless, she looks forward to meeting up with the witch, and eventually making her way back to headquarters.

Maroux's Isle

"We came through the other tunnel, it hardly matters now, let's get out of here." says Orianna.

So the group, allies only because there may be a common enemy about, manages to climb up to daylight and exit the passages onto the Lady's Cape. You find that its midday now, having been underground for so long you lost all track of time. You cover the distance. It isn't far before you see some narrow trails that wind their way east to a rickety looking bridge that crosses the water to a small island off the coast. Smoke curls from a hut on the isle in thin grey wisps up into the air. The bridge leading to the isle is decorated with bleached humanoid skulls with weird sigils painted on them in crusty, reddish-brown dried blood.

The hut, sitting in the middle of the isle, looks like a mossy wooden shack with a sagging roof in the shade a few moss draped willows. A plume of smoke wafts from a chimney, and cooking smells pervade the area, though the odor is not altogether pleasant. Fletcher the Warforged stands guard outside. As he spots you he calls out, "Hail Grey Company!"

Zeevan waves emphatically back, happy to see the Warforged is alive and well. "Fletcher! Great to see you! Glad to see you made it out in one piece, after all we went through."

Fletcher replies, "I too am pleased to see you have made it. I was apprehensive that you were lost for good. I see you have brought with you others, we too found Jasper on the way back. He and Oloven are inside. Did you complete the mission?" The warforged is matter of fact and to the point.

Zeevan smirks. "Like we would be showing up here if we hadn't!" She gestures over her shoulder. "Taris is handling it for the moment. Hoping you all still have the protections against the Shard. Otherwise the trip back is going to be rough." She cranes her neck, looking around Fletcher. "How is Oloven holding up?"

Fletcher nods, "I still bear the Shard of Pride, and Oloven has the Ioun Stone you need."

The Warforge takes a step forward, "I should prepare you, Oloven was wounded dramatically when we found ourselves separated. " He looks at the group, "I suggest everyone remains outside except for those close with Oloven. I don't think he would want to see so many."

He motions for a small number of you to enter the hut.

Zeevan stands aside. "I just joined before this current adventure to the Lady's Light, so I don't qualify for being that close really. But if there's a way I can be of use, just let me know."
