Aerth is out voted, and Borir, keeping his pride in tact, suggests it was his plan all along, but some of you doubt that. So you make you way through the pasture, careful to avoid any large collection of bees and doing your best to not trample all the flowers. The Beornings spot you at one point and meet you in the middle.

So it is that the Fellowship stands in a sea of late summer flowers, the buzzing of bees all around them, when they come face to face with the first few Beornings they have had contact with in a long time. The men are both fairly large men made to appear larger yet by their bushy beards and full and unkempt heads of hair. Rudy skin from years spent outdoors and heavy and thickly calloused hands tell you they are men of the country side. They wear home spun linen shirts and pants, with belts of hemp and only the rare piece of leather or bone buttons. However each wears a satchel, brimming with honeycones, and they also have knives on their belt, and one walks with a great wood cutting axe as if it was some sort of violent walking stick.

With a loud voice, but not on friendly one calls out. "Good afternoon strangers. What's your business in these parts?" He asks with some suspicion but reserves his judgement for the moment. The other however gazes at Borir with clear distast for the Dwarf.

Aerth looks at Borir, then the Beornings. He does not say anything, but wonders if they can get past these two without and sort of trouble. Realizing he's the only one that could pass for a man with his ears covered as usual, Aerth states, "Just passing by. Coming from Woodland Hall and heading to the Lonely Inn. Meeting a friend."

Borir eyes glare at the men. He says to the group, low so the Beornings can't hear, "I don't like the look of them. Looked better from a distance."

"Yes," says Varuthil. "We're simple travelers. Since we're passing through your territory, we thought it would be good to make ourselves known to you."

"Woodland Hall eh? You don't look like Woodmen." He smiles and shoves his thumbs into his belt, "Looking for the Easterly Inn? Never heard of no Lonely Inn, but you mean the one the Hobbits have set up?" He nods when someone confirms that. "Right, you are a bit off track, but not bad, you'll want to angle a bit more northeast."

The other man offers his hand to Aerth and Varuthil and the rest of you in turn, even Borir, "Name's Adalard, this here is my brother Frideger. These are our lands, as much as anyone can own land in these parts." He seems a touch more friendly than his brother, "What news from Woodland Hall? We heard some rumors back about Orc attacks from the forest, that true?"

Aerth nods, "Right, Easterly Inn, you're correct." The half-elf's face turns a bit solemn, "Aye. We did get hit by goblins, but we were able to fight them off. We originally came from Lake Town as guard for a shipment of goods to Wooland Hall. Once we helped deliver them we wintered at Woodland Hall. No real reason to leave, truth be told." Aerth shrugs, "Until the goblins came, of course. Some friends of ours seem concerned about that." He does not mention Radagast by name.

"Well any enemy of goblins are friends of ours. Troubles been brewing in the north I hear as well. Been long enough I guess those little pests don't remember what happen to them in the Battle of Five Armies."

Both men nod, and the large and louder of the two Frideger grunts, "They won't soon forget if they try causing trouble around here Beorn will teach them a thing or two!"

Adalard replies to his brother, "My brothers right about that. These lands belong to us Beornings, under Beorn 's protection, and our own. There ain't no goblins in these parts. Your way is safe from here to the Inn."

"That is good to here, friends," Aerth says, hoping to seem cordial as it appears their meeting has gone of without much issue. He gives some opportunities for the others to speak anything they might wish to say. He hopes Borir does not say something that will cause trouble, though.

"Aye. We did get hit by goblins, but we were able to fight them off.
Varuthil adds, "And the elves came under King Thranduil to aid the Woodmen. It was good to see the Free Peoples working together, instead of fighting among ourselves, as we have all too often in the past."

"Yes, it is good to be in the land of allies and know our way is clear."

Adalard folds his arms over his chest, "Must have been mighty important fight for the Elfking to come to battle. We don't have need of such help around here. We take care of our own, but its good to know others are working to help one another."

There is a bit of a laugh from Frideger, "What he means to say is we are tough enough, we don't need help from any Elfking around these parts."
