During the summer Aerth wanders much, from Woodland Hall, to the Old Ford and up to Beorn's Hall. Its strange but the large imposing man seems far gentler to the Half-Elf when looked at in a certain way. The two are rare creatures in this age, and there is a bond that forms there. Beorn doesn't care for too many flowery words, and he's impressed with Aerth's forthrightness, his skill at arms and his valour. Beorn is lord of these lands, but he becomes friendly with Aerth, and for many weeks the Half-Elf lives on Beorn's milk and honey and does odd jobs for him traveling between the Beorning steadings, and the locals start to know Aerth a bit better. After a time however he longs for some contact with Borir, and his pipe is out of weed so its to the Easterly Inn and the Hobbits and Dwarves there....

Aerth gives his thanks to Beorn for his hospitality. He likes these people. They are tough and brave. Beorn sets a good example for them, and although he never broaches the subject, he knows something is different with Beorn. He suspects things, and that is all he needs in order to feel a connection to the massive man. "I need to go find the others and see what our next step is, Master Beorn. I shall return, certainly, though I could not say when. I thank you for your patronage." After the last words are exchanged, Aerth packs his gear and heads off toward the Easterly Inn.
