Book 5: Act 1 - The Borders of the Forest
Behind him Aerth has his Sheppard's Bow in hand as he darts forward and over a log. He drops to a kneeling stance and fires. His shot is not as deadly as the other two but he puts his arrow in the leg of one of the goblin archers wounding it badly.
The orcs and goblins are now aware of your charge and begins to scream and yell at one another. The half dozen orcs grab up bent swords and rusted shields forming a defensive line of sorts before the wagon, while the four remaining goblins position themselves atop it with bows in hand.
Borir then charges right into the thick of the massed orcs his axe swinging from on high his helm bouncing on his head. He brings his axe down into the head of the lead orc, the blow cleaves the skull of the orc in twain. The body of the beast hits the ground so hard as to cause those orcs around Borir to look at him in a bit of horror. With a grunt he yanks his axe from the skull of his first victim.
Aerth, Pipkin and Rathar, seeing Borir outnumbered...

Pipkin is not very good in a close fight, so he stays back, hoping the others will give him the space he needs to fire. In this instance, he fires at the wounded archer, hoping to put it out of commission.

Aerth just leaves his bow where it is and unslings his axe. "Stand fast, Borir!" he yells, jumping around a bush and bringing himself in line with one of the orc soldiers around the dwarf. With a sideways chop, he assaults the orc with an aimed blow toward the hip.

Then from the woods three more figures arrive! Before you see them you hear the buzzing of their arrives.
*Whooosh*
*Thunk*
An arrow slams hard into the back of an orc about to leap at Rathar and Aerth. The piercing shot goes through its back and into its heart knocking it forward to die in the earth at their feet. Then leaping into view comes a sylvan elf of outstanding beauty. He has long hair flowing around his shoulders, and a fine woodland bow in hand, he fires off a second time striking one of the goblin archers piercing the creature's throat and felling it instantly.
Behind the elf comes two more figure that you recognize, its Varuthil and Finn! The pair join the fight weapons in hand!

A man bearing a large shield and a sword charges out from Legolas' left side. His hair is brown and his eyes an icicle blue. Though his demeanor is fierce, he almost seems to be smiling. He comes at the nearest Goblin and brings his sword down upon its head.
