Book 7: Act 1 - A Darkness in the Marshes
Rathar bows his head gently and chooses not to remind the lovely host that they'd met some time earlier. He taps his foot as Finn begins to play and sing.

Borir nods to Varuthil and then heads to the bar. Rather than placing the mugs of ale on a serving platter, the dwarf attempts to carry multiple mugs to his companions and he begins passing them out to whoever would take a mug.

Book 7: Act 1 - A Darkness in the Marshes
"Rathar, Rathar... oh yes oh yes, we met once a while back. I am sorry, so many people come through here, its starting to have an effect on me. One thing drives out another!" He pats Rathar on the arm, "First drink is on the house for that little rudeness on my part."
Borir serves the ale, the songs start up and the evening, though prefaced with trouble brewing, is a peaceful and enjoyable one as old friends re-unite.

Varuthil politely sips from the ale. She still doesn't care for the stuff that much, but she can stomach it now.

Book 7: Act 1 - A Darkness in the Marshes
Reunited, but concerned you do take the chances to enjoy each other's company. The day passes and turns to night, and night to day and so on and so on, for a week like this. You wonder perhaps if you should be doing more, but by noon of the fortnight since Varuthil's arrival a sparrow arrives at the Easterly Inn. It swoops in through the open window and alights on the bar back. At first Agatha goes for a broom to swat it away, but you stop her. The bird flutters down and lands on Varuthil's shoulder, the elf seems to understand the bird and she listens to it intently for a mooment.

Book 7: Act 1 - A Darkness in the Marshes
Varuthil stands and says, "The bird is from Radagast. He says we must leave at once--we should go south to Gelvira's House at the crossing of the river." She turns to Agatha and says, "I apologize that we must leave so abruptly and thank you for your hospitality." She whispers to the bird in a sing-song voice, telling it, "Let Radgast know we will be leaving as soon as we can," then goes to fetch her things.

Finn expected the bird was not just a friendly acquaintance of Varuthil, but a messenger. Indeed, and so he stood, and went outside to find Hild, telling her to gather her things for the road. Finn did the same, and returned to the common room to wait for the others.
He was certain the final destination was not Gelvira's, but this first leg of the journey would require very little effort. All of them knew the road well; a road that in these days was quite safe.

Book 7: Act 1 - A Darkness in the Marshes
Borir stands ready with his armor, axe, and helm. The dwarf looks like he's ready for another adventure. He stands with his arms crossed and axe slung across his shoulder. Unbeknownst to him, a black raven has perched himself on the top of his axe's head and appears to be looking over the dwarf's shoulder and watching the others prepare to depart and keenly watching the messenger bird arrive and depart.
"Aye, Ah'm ready to get on the road. Too much dust on mah axe, but at least mah hammer got some work on repairs."

Varuthil looks at Borir with what actually appears to be an amused expression. "You know you seem to have acquired a companion?"
