So there's no way to use Hope in your defense. Pipkin has tons of Hope, but he could never use any of it.

Really, it seems, Pipkin has to stay back and fire his bow.

Funny, staying back and firing her bow was my plan for Varuthil as well. Could be both take the rearward stance if the other characters are engaged in melee combat?

As long as enough have a melee stance you can both. You can spend hope to make protection tests to prevent real wounds.

I see endurance as bumps, bashes, and near misses or hits on armor but not open gaping bleeding wounds lieka piercing wound is. You can recover endurance easily enough, check the kockback rules too, you can soak up half a hit of end by spending a round of actions.

More ranks in weapons skills are going to be key to make more hits, those tns never change over the course of the game except for situational mods. Still not sure about getting your perry when ambushed, seems counter productive but we can test this as we go.

Did a little thing wrong Helm's bonus is a single numerical value, not a bonus die.

Since it turns out that failed Lore rolls actually hurt traveling, it might be best if in the future those with Lore 1 did not try and make Lore rolls for the Traveling phase.

Unfortunately, I know about 0 of the rules other than character creation. I don't even know how we derive any rolls whatsoever.

We're all learning. And today we learned about failed Lore rolls in the Traveling phase.

I also thought I had more Lore than 1. I guess not.

Ah well, we live and learn. No real harm done here, I think.
