Re: Book 3: Act 1 - Travel Information
Yeah, before the errata, failure (at all) on a Lore roll before a journey negated any successes on a Lore roll. So usually, only one or two PCs ever made such a roll.
With the Revised Edition, they made recovery of Endurance more difficult, and they increased fatigue gain to 2/3 (instead of previous 1/2 for springsummer / fallwinter)... so with journeys more difficult, they made the initial Lore roll slightly more helpful. And I think it's also better - since now it doesn't just represent a PC knowing the route better (all it did before was shorten the journey by a day or two)... now it represents also how well they prepared for the journey, and the bonus dice are not only more useful but work better story-wise.

So how many bonus dice does that give us?

You have 2 for your Great success, Wren has 1. I suppose V should roll those bonus dice for some of those Travel rolls to see if some of the Fatigue is avoided?Muskrat wrote:So how many bonus dice does that give us?
Also V, with Dagmar... is this an "Encounter"? If so, do we all roll Insight to see if we have bonus dice to use while using Awe/Courtesy/Inspire/Persuade/Riddle, etc?

This is teh travel spoiler from the IC thread.
I already used up all those bonus dice as you might notice by the syntax:
Aerth 1 +1 Bonus: 4,3,5=12 Success
We are just going to Rp things at this point with Dagmar

This are kind of nice, simple, elegant and could add a bit of flare. I might start using them, allowing only 1 total for the fellowship during any leg. We'll see start small.

Yeah, I like them too...at least on a journey where there isn't a lot of story already going on, it makes sense to not rely on rolling an "Eye" and triggering a hazard for flair.

I am fine with the group leaving their Treasure at the Easterly Inn.
So I adjusted your Fatigue 3 points in your favor, assuming that you've done that.
I have the combat post done up just waiting on Wren, he was going to post he said, then I'll get things up. Some of your sheets might be reflecting my rolls, so maybe don't look if you don't like spoilers.
