Re: Book 4: Act 1 - Travel Information
BB explained his Inspiration Bonus, you also have (some of you) that extra Battle Die. You tell me when you use either of them.
Also Opening Volley: You guys can fire off a shot (they will too) before the two groups are in close combat range.
Resolving Opening Volleys
The descriptions of the different combat types given
above show situations where the sides involved in the
confrontation are separated by a short distance, allowing
for the brief exchange of volleys using ranged weapons.
The precise circumstances of the combat encounter should
let the Loremaster judge how many volleys to allow (if any
at all). Normally, all combatants are entitled to a single
volley using a bow or a thrown weapon (a spear). If the
two sides are separated by a greater distance, then the
Loremaster might allow characters using a bow to let
loose more than one volley with their weapon.
• The difficulty of all volleys is equal to TN 12, plus the
Parry rating of the target, modified by a shield if one
is carried by the target.
If a target is aware of an incoming ranged attack (a warrior
advancing to join a confrontation definitely would be) a
shield doubles its modifier, as the carrier deftly protects
himself.
Unless there are reasons not to do so, the exchange is
considered to take place simultaneously, and so its effects
are applied to player-heroes and their opponents at the
same time.

Since Aerth can't go this round (knoback), and Varuthil shot, will you roll again for Wren, or is Eilandor back?

Actually Aerth's Knockback was last round, he can act again already if he wants.

Re: Book 4: Act 1 - Travel Information
The Battle is Over
The scene is nearly over, so I'm going to figure out the Hope and stuff now.
Wren: Healthy
Varuthil: Healthy
Aerth: 5/24 E, 20F, Weary
Borir: 16/32 End, 18F, Weary
Finn: 2/29 E, 16 F, Weary
Recovery
Fighters soon learn to fully exploit the briefest of pauses to recover their much-needed energies.
A character who is not Wounded, and who at the end of combat is given the time to catch his breath (to rest for at least half an hour) recovers a number of Endurance points equal to his Heart score.
Wren: Healthy
Varuthil: Healthy
Aerth: 9/24 E, 20F, Weary
Borir: 19/32 End, 18F, Weary
Finn: 9/29 E, 16 F, Weary
Fellowship Focusp
A player-hero recovers 1 point of Hope at the end of a session if his Fellowship focus didn’t become Wounded, Poisoned, Miserable, or was harmed in any other way the Loremaster considers serious (such as imprisoned by Orcs) during play, and is in the same location as them. A character gains 1 point of Shadow at the end of the session if his Fellowship focus was Wounded, or 3 points if the focus was killed.
No one was wounded, you were nearly so, but all in all you survived.
Everyone Gains +1 Hope Back
Fellowship Pool: 5 Points to spread around.
After that everyone is back at full Hope
At the end of the scene, all bonus points from combat, or song inspiration are lost.

Cool! So, save the bonus Insight die, since Finn has Persuade and I'm willing to spend Hope, I'm going to hold off on using the bonus...

Re: Book 4: Act 1 - Travel Information
V, do we have the option to go to Radagast first, before a Fellowship Phase?
Or should we do that afterwards?
Also, any idea where Eilandor is?
Also, I was thinking of having Finn go back to Laketown. It doesn't have to be during this phase, however...it could wait until after the next Adventure. I may try to find some good mechanical reason to do so, but ICly Finn hasn't seen his family for quite some time, and could escort Oderic there.
Other things we need to/could do during the Fellowship phase:
1) Check on Easterly Inn; before we needed to restock and apparently Pipkin brought supplies to them. Borir and Finn could "Tend to Holding" to try to gain some Treasure.
2) Make Beorn a Patron and his House a Sanctuary
3) Go our separate ways and agree to return to a certain place at a certain time.

We can do Radagast still or as Fellowship action maybe.
Eliandor has had work troubles but is slowly returning to games.
