Re: Book 4: Act 2 - Fellowship Phase
Good question; it should have reduced the cost to raise your Standing (though I guess it's a competition, so it probably depends on how well you did).
When a hero chooses this undertaking, he attempts to gain the opportunity to raise his Standing rating at a modified cost. To do so, he must select and roll one of the following skills: Athlet ics , Hunt ing , Bows or Axes. On a success, the cost of increasing Standing is reduced by 3, a great success reduces it by 6, and an extraordinary success by 12.

Just read through that thread. There is no "Roll" posted by you here V, : http://www.dicefellowship.org/viewtopic ... 20#p272851
But you mention "great success" in an IC description of how Aerth does. Did you roll a Great Success? If so, that would have automatically raised his Standing to 1 (0 to 1 costs 6 I think, and a Great Success would reduce it to 0...if I'm understanding correctly) everything.
There might be an OOC post or a PM where you posted the results, it's not clear.

Re: Book 4: Act 2 - Fellowship Phase
Found it.
Aerth - Field of Heroes - Athletics 3: 3 + 5,3,6t = 17 (Great Success). Reduce the cost of raising your standing by 6 Points. If Aerth wants to raise his Standing to a 1, it only costs him 6 Points of Treasure. It nets you nothing really since you have only 3 Points of Treasure

It is really good if you actually have Treasure. Otherwise, yup, it was worthless.

Re: Book 4: Act 2 - Fellowship Phase
Beorn did in fact give you a bunch of silver, 1 Treasure per person, I guess no one bothered to write it down. I will. If people care enough about the game they should write this stuff down as we go and not always leave it up to me.
I would appear everyone has 2 Treasure.
I think you had 1 extra, but bought in on the Easterly Inn with it.

My apologies, I'm happy to write anything down, and will assume I need to unless you say otherwise.
