Collecting them is your Fellowship Phase Action so thats why everyone can't or doesn't.

Guys, I posted this in the chat room, but I vote for trying to escape combat if that is possible. I would have Finn just start trying to, but I'm not sure of our surroundings enough to be sure.

@muskrat I agree about the undead/mindless thing.
How we have to think about this is not that you intimidating them by saying hey look how strong I am, but you are invoking words of power, calling on the Valar. O! Elbereth Gilthoniel! and that has power against the Shadow and the magic that animates them to weak that power and break it not to SCARE them and make them fearful of you. I have had to wrap my head around that as well and accept it. Or think of Tom Bombadil against the Barrow Wights, his song of power and words forces them back, etc...
At that moment Frodo threw himself forward on the ground, and he heard himself crying aloud: O Elbereth! Gilthoniel! At the same time he struck at the feet of his enemy. A shrill cry rang out in the night;
'Gilthoniel, A Elbereth!' Sam cried. For, why he did not know, his thought sprang back suddenly to the Elves in the Shire, and the song that drove away the Black Rider in the trees.

Re: Book 5: Act 1 - Those Who Tarry No Longer
I think we all know that. But I thought the plan was to pretend to take the offer to get the jump on him. If Annatar refuses to discuss the matter (which he may very well do), just say you take the freaking offer, then we can try stealing the guards swords, taking Annatar prisoner, etc.Once again guys, Finn has no intention of taking his offer, but if he can get the man to relax, perhaps we'll get an opening.

That's fine. I was just waiting for others to post reactions first...we'll see if he takes the offer to discuss it, which would give us more time maybe?

Tet is on vacation so Aerth is going to be quiet.
Trogdor appears to have been sucked into work land.

Re: Book 5: Act 1 - Those Who Tarry No Longer
So should I post again for Finn...or wait to see if Annatar replies?
Question: is Annatar only asking the men (Finn & NPCs) or is it clear he's extended the offer to Dwarf and Elf?
