Book 5: Act 2 - Fellowship Phase
So we can start the crunchy bits of Book 5: Act 2's Fellowship Phase.
XP Awards: 6 XP
AP Awards: 12 AP
Borir, Finn, Pipkin, Rathar, Varuthil
Sheet's Updated
You'll want to refresh Hope from the Fellowship Pool.
Borir Down 2
Finn Down 3
Pip Down 4
Rathar Down 1
Varuthil Down 2
Total Missing Hope 12, Fellowship Pool of 7. Someone's going to be missing some.
This includes Aerth's contribution, but that will reset to 6 in the new chapter.
Now then, some rules for recovering hope and loosing hope exists based on your Fellowship Focus, but most of the adventure was a special case. So no gain or loss based on Fellowship Focuses this time around.
Eye Awareness Resets to 6
Fellowship Focuses Reset. Borir who did you want now?

My suggestion: everyone regains 1 Hope, and then Pipkin and Finn regain 1 more, leaving us:
Borir Down 1
Finn Down 1
Pip Down 2
Rathar Down 0
Varuthil Down 1
(Just my suggestion, we can do anything)
So no one was actually wounded or died, shouldn't we regain Hope if our FF was not wounded? Or does the dream sequence affect this?
Here is the list of Fellowship Phase Undertakings:

The Dream sort of messes this up:
As a Source of Hope
The presence of a Fellowship focus affects the way a character recovers Hope:
A player-hero recovers 1 point of Hope at the end of a session if his Fellowship focus didn’t become Wounded, Poisoned, Miserable, or was harmed in any other way the Loremaster considers serious (such as imprisoned by Orcs) during play, and is in the same location as them. A character gains 1 point of Shadow at the end of the session if his Fellowship focus was Wounded, or 3 points if the focus was killed.
You were all imprisoned, Borir was Wounded, Aerth left the company, etc...
In the end its a wash, no Shadow no Hope.

V, I want to spend 10 XP, raise Valour to 4, and that will allow me to take the Reward from the Erebor book, "Made in Anvil Way" (improving his sword). However, it's technically an "Erebor" undertaking. Do you think it's something I could narrate as simply being a gift of a new sword, sent from Lady Irime to the Easterly Inn?
As for an Undertaking, I'm having Finn plan to "Tend to Holding" at the Easterly Inn (perhaps all of us who invested and having the Inn as a Holding should consider that).
Let me know if you're OK with both of these things.

That is a pretty neat but its a Fellowship Phase Undertaking not a Reward.
And it seems pretty darn Erebor specific.

Oh, hah, I did not look at it closely (I wasn't looking in the Erebor book but at the online char builder).
I just read the book; OK I'm going to save the XP in the Hope that we'll go to Laketown/Dale/Erebor, because I see that you need to have "just increased your Valour level" and since we won't be going there this Fellowship Phase, I have to wait.
I'll still do the Tend to Holding Undertaking if that works.

Re: Book 5: Act 2 - Fellowship Phase
The "Just increased your Valour Level" aspect of it I might wave, as long as you meet the other requirements, like 10 Treasure, and Undertaking.
Why not edit slightly so that you end up with:
Borir Down 1
Finn Down 1
Pip Down 1
Rathar Down 1
Varuthil Down 1
Then everyone is 'even'

It's all fine with me.
Cool, then I'll go ahead and Spend the XP for Valour...

Yeah, good call, I'm not so sure when/if you'll be up in Erebor so its not worth delaying.
