V, regarding Eye of Mordor rules, here is someone who suggested an alternative set for Eye Awareness. The nice thing about these rules is that it doesn't penalize a bigger group (making Revelation Episodes likely to occur often with 5+ PCs), but it still keeps them simple: http://forums.cubicle7.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=4036

Just a few comments on Hartley's behavior with the unconscious man. I think Hartley is the kind of person who cannot ignore suffering and will do what he can to help, even at the cost of putting himself in peril. Also, having worked at the Prancing Pony, he would have dealt with the aftermath of quite a few bar fights. He also thinks that if they can help the man, they might gain a friend, or at least an ally in Tharbad. Of course the man may be a worthless sot and be of no use to himself or the group, but that wouldn't change Hartley's motivation for helping.

I think everyone reacted appropriately to the situation given their character. Hartley helping, Aravule annoyed and focused, Halleth following his captain, the Elves watchful. The High Elf reminiscing...
