One other thing is that in a live game the die is passed around and whoever has it narrates then makes a roll. I figure we could all just jump around and roll as we see fit? Once per round.

Then when the next round begins the "first player" takes the reigns again to setup the scene.

So do we each roll for this phase, or it was just you and we move on to the next?

We all roll once per round. The point I was trying to make with the previous post was that in a live game it goes in player order, but since we're doing this on a forum we can roll whenever we want (once per round).

Do traits allow us to propose rolls to save a failure, or do they ad a bonus to our regular rolls?

Yes, you're expected to use a trait to explain why you were able to save the failure.
