The Battle of the Five Armies is over, Dale and Esgaroth have been rebuilt and a new King Under the Mountain sits on the throne of Erebor.
King Bard has issued a call to all adventurous folk, rallying them to his cause - to clear the lands of the north of all that would threaten the Free Peoples. Will you answer his call
Dobbin hurries along the tunnel, unhampered by the low ceiling.
Orin drops his glaive and takes aim with his bow & arrow, counting on Eofor's presence to save him from any direct assault.
Dolneril lets loose with one of the ancient arrows, the silver head sinking into the dark shadow that appears to be the body of the dead king... An ear piercing shriek indicating that the arrow has done some lasting harm to the creature!
The thing is not rattled for long however!
With an almost elf like speed, the creature seems to glide forward in the darkness and is upon Eofor before the Rohirrim can mount an effective defence, the barrow wight claws at him with ice cold talons, finding their way through weak spots in his armour. Eofor is staggered but his strong constitution staves off the worst of the dead kings attack.
Eofor takes 3 HP damage but passes a CON save to avoid other effects.
"BACK! BACK TO THE DARKNESS!" Torwald pushes to the front, shield in one hand, torch in the other. He swings it at the enemy, striking at it with the flaming red fire. He sweeps the torch side to side after striking at it, shield held up to deflect any strikes from the beast even as the cold of it creeps about him.

His heart pounding in his chest, Eofor's worst fears are assaulting him in the dark hall. Taken by surprise by the wight's attack Eofor braces behind his shield to protect himself but also his friends from this horror, ready for the next onslaught.
In his language he grunts at the fiend "For the sake of the restless dead, leave this place foul spirit."
Eofor will spend his action dodging and try to keep the wight from attacking those behind him.
Torwald flails his torch back and forth, the flickering flames catching hold on the ragged cloak and burial wraps that hang in tatters from the armoured skeletal remains of the long dead king.
Eofor takes evasive action, his shield raised so as to defend himself and those close behind him.
The northman that had followed you down to find his brother swings wildly at the wight, but by the look on his face, he is near overcome with fear.
Eofor, you stand on what first appears to be uneven ground, but as you defend yourself, through the unnatural fog you see that it is the bloodied body of some unfortunate soul, recently fallen victim to the dead king. By his body is an ancient looking sword.
ROUND 2 STARTS - Same initiative order, Dobbin, Dolneril & Orin to post.
Crouching and darting between the legs of the Big Folk, Dobbin weaves his way forward to engage the cold, evil wight, all the while muttering out loud to himself (for all to hear), "That's no half-orc, or I'm Bree-lander! Even if it WAS a half-orc, my gaffer would never approve of this tom-foolery, Mr. Dobbin Woodbridge! Oh no he wouldn't! By all that's good and green in the world, what are we doing down here?"
Not wearing his shield, because he was wielding his bow outside, the hobbit shifts the torch to his off-hand, draws his sword and maneuvers to get at it from the opposite side so as to flank it with Torwald and Eofor. He fights the undead menace, dual-wielding blade and fire!
As if from nowhere Dobbin appears in between Torwald and Eofor, a flaming torch in one hand, his sword in the other. His sword slashes across the barrow king's chest, but it doesn't seem to do much, it almost seems to pass through the corpse-like creature.
Orin's shot goes wide of the mark, clattering against the coffin behind his intended target.
Dolneril's shot similarly misses and embeds itself in the packed earth behind the wight.
The barrow wight focuses it's attacks on the rider of Rohan, but his shield saves him from it's sharp claws.
