Re: Character Creation
In the event that a spot opens up for me, I've been sketching out my character:
Wulfstan of the West Mark: Around 30, the son of a Rohirric shepherd named Wulfrid and a Dunlending woman named Bronwyn. About 5'8" (short for an Eorling, slightly above average for a Dunlending), broad shouldered with curly reddish brown hair. He's spent most of his life in the fields and hills between the Isen and the Adorn. He's thus not used to the more "civilized" life of a settled Eorling, especially as mixed-blooded people like him are often viewed with suspicion in Rohan proper. Therefore he has the Wild trait.
His father taught him about beasts both domestic and wild. His mother taught him a great deal about how Dunlendings move quietly and quickly when hunting and raiding. He's thus Mist-born, has the Secret Folk virtue and the Elusive trait.
He would likely have remained obscure if it hadn't been for an incident last summer. A band of Dunlending thieves crossed the Isen and boldly struck deep into the Westfold, stealing dozens of prized horses before fleeing back into their own country. While the Marshal of the West was gathering his éoreds for a retaliatory strike, Wulfstan took it on himself to track the thieves. Working alone Wulfstan stole the horses back, leading them back home. He met the astonished Westfold men at the Fords of the Isen and returned the herd. The raiders who had pursued Wulfstan turned back at the sight of the Éorling force.
When asked how he managed this, Wulfstan's explaination was that he was quiet.

Yes, I like it as well. I believe our company will be heading west soon enough. If we happen to be short a player or two, you might be able to join up at that point.

Re: Character Creation
My PC background is FINALLY posted! You can see why it took so long.
But if you don't have time to read it (though I think it's a fairly interesting tale), you can read the "TL DR" version.
Now to get to posting in the actual game...

Re: Character Creation
I'm back in town. Going to take some time to get caught up, and then finish up my history and Fellowship postings.
