Backstory: Born to the old captain Aethelstan and his wife Cuthwynn, from a young age as the eldest child Wulf was raised to be a protector of his family. Yet, despite learning the skills of a knight from a young age, he always found himself interested in learning songs both old and new. It was both through his time in the Eored both as a grunt and eventually a captain, as well as his love of the song and the hunt, hat led to a close friendship and eventual marriage with Beranulf, the son of the lord of Raven's Gate.

I've replaced this character with the one below.

Below is my new Rohirrim character to make it easier for him to be woven into Oaths of the Riddermark. Later I will update this post with an illustration.

Backstory: Bregor, loving husband to Hildred and father to their only son, Fréhelm, was a famous warrior and one of the king's elite guard, friend to the king. One day to his family's dismay he was suddenly discharged from Rohan's elite guard and banished from the king's court. His son was only six when his family were thrown out into the streets, as the guards tore down their home in search of something of grave importance. Since that day they were forced to move from village to village, living as vagrant wanderers under different names. Fréhelm's father never spoke of it and would silently ignore comments from strangers. He just bid his time taking odd jobs, usually as a stablehand but would always spend his evenings staring into the fire, spinning his old spearhead between his fingers, lost in thought. In fact, he took that spearhead with him wherever he went, never letting it out of his sight. It was almost as if it knew the truth and would reassure him somehow. The day Fréhelm turned sixteen, his father packed the boy's saddle and sent him away to make a better name for himself. Longways from home, Fréhelm opened his satchel to find his father's spearhead hidden underneath his supplies, wrapped in a green tattered cloth that once resembled the flag of Rohan. Years pass and Fréhelm grows to be a conflicted man, angered by the injustice upon his father but also deeply longing to see his king's mighty court from his childhood of old.
