Why is Oloven using his dagger and not his Heavy Mace or Cold Iron Longsword?

Posted for Zeevan just to keep things going and wrap things up.
Oloven moves up and chips a small piece of stone from the back of the living statue with his dagger.

Jasper then comes around the base where one stepped down and with his mace cries out, "The Mason's Hammer smite thee!" He cracks a good bit of stone off the things shoulder.

Rikkan attempts to hex this one, but finally one of them resists the power of the rat man.

Fletcher then stalks forward and with his greats word slams down into the stony foe and breaks off one of its arms. It fights on not knowing pain or retreat, but its near to crumbling.

Zeevan presses, his flaming blade slams into the wound Fletcher opened, and he pulls on the blade like a crow bar sending a third of the statue flying into the wall with a crash. The legs remain standing, just statue like as the power inside the animation is ended.

The battle is won and all is silent save for your heavy breathing.

Oloven: 5ft, Flank Attack: 17 Hit for 7 - 5Dr = 2 Dmg SHATTER 10 - 10 Hardness = 0 Dmg

After the last statue falls, Fletcher simply stands there staring at his heavily damaged greatsword. "Such a shame. I suppose it is high time I turn this one in for another of finer quality." Looking over to Zeevan, "Or perhaps one imbued with flames!"

For the time being, is there any way to repair our weapons before we return to town?

Je tuts and shakes his head at the damage to his spear.


I lack your martial prowess, but I'd just as soon keep a few feet of wood between the foe and me.

Oloven sheathes his mithral dagger and looks around. "Are all your weapons good to keep going? Or do you have backups?"
Oloven, being the perceptive guy he is, noticed the damage the parties weapons were taking and didn't want to jepordize one his more effective weapons. The Dagger, being made out of mithral, is also harder and thus more resistant to breaking.

Zeevan winces as he inspects the damage inflicted on his blade. "The flame is quite useful, I'll grant you. But maybe one of these days I'll have to invest in adamantine, if we make a habit of using swords against stone. I'm happy to be as strong as I am, but I don't want to have to resort to punching a golem."

Gotcha! Good call.

FWIW none of the weapons are suffering the 'broken' status quite yet. So they are all still usable.
Jasper falls to the ground as the adrenaline wears off, again he's wounded pretty badly. This time he prays to the Sovereign Host to heal himself a little.

He rises back to his feet, but he's wobbly, and wounded still, you can see it. He's turning out to be a bit of a liability.

The ninja nods over to Jasper. "I'm still in pretty good shape, just bruised, maybe a couple strained joints. The preacher here looks to be far worse off than me. If you've got to make choices, get him back to strength."
