Fellowship of the Dice

In 2122, the spaceship Nostromo visits a desolate planetoid after receiving an unknown signal from a derelict alien spacecraft. While exploring the ship, one of the Nostromo's crewmen discovers an egg-like object, which releases a eight-foot creature that kills all but one of its entire crew. 57 years later, the only survivor of the Nostromo awakens from hypersleep aboard a foreign space station. She discovers that the planetoid from the first encounter (now known as LV-426) is now home to a terraforming colony. When contact with the colony is lost, Lt. Ellen Ripley (the survivor) accompanies a squad of Marines there aboard the Sulaco. Chaos and misfortune ensues!
