Very sad.

@Shurijo

Ballast Point was one of the most respected and best Craft Breweries in the U.S. Extremely quality stuff and lots of it. This is a major bummer.

It is sad.

One small local brewery here (supplied maybe two or three towns) sold out to Heineken, and it's now a warehouse :cry:

They were so brave to sell.

I've never had Ballast Point...sad* to hear. I better to to my local store and pick up some before they screw it up.
Which do you guys recommend most? I like most everything, sours, ipas, english ales, etc.

Tet, I know a guy up here who works at Odell's. Sometime in the coming months, if you and the wife are interested and want to drive the 2-3 hours North, I'm sure he'd give us free *cough* beers *ahem* a tour of the brewery.

*Sad for everyone except the owners of Ballast Point

Take that back, I have had their "Victory at Sea" - coffee porter. Did not like it; mostly I don't think coffee and beer mix, but that is personal taste.

What!? I freaking loved Victory by Sea.

Wide awake drunks are the best kind. That's why Red Bull and vodka is such a great idea.

If I remember right, I found it too sweet for me. I'm always willing to try new ones.
