Making Statues for Maps

A couple of buddies of mine over at Dundjinni informed me of a great site to use when creating custom statues for mapping purposes. If you go on over to HERO FORGE and use their custom miniature creator there, you can create something you like and then take a snapshot of the top-down view. Once you have it, you can then use photoshop to apply an appropriate texture to represent the material you wish the statue carved from and then some touch up work (burn/dodge tools) to flesh things out and create some rather cool looking images.

I'll try to make one or two myself when time permits and post it here.
