Cubicle 7 to stop producing The One Ring

Cublicle 7 has walked away from The One Ring license. Apparently the license-holder was making unreasonable demands. From the chatter I have read, this is not uncommon for RPG producers who get licenses for big names. The license holders often don't grasp just how niche RPGs are and, withing the hobby, how niche anything that isn't D&D is, and so expect much more money than is reasonable. The fact that there's an Amazon Lord of the Rings series coming out that should boost Middle Earth's profile may have exacerbated things.
So if you want to be buy any The One Ring products, best to do it soonish. And they won't put out the 2nd edition they've been working on, since they won't be able to properly support it.
