Thanks to tet, I found this report.

The problem in this case isn't related to the other types of problems. The error that came up was this:
ERROR: value too long for type character varying(80)
... put too much text in one of the text boxes.

The codebase DEFINITELY needs better error reporting for cases like that though, I'll agree!

I think I remember this being a bug before, but I can't recall.

If you edit a PM from your sent items and the PM contains "http://", the colon disappears and the URL becomes http// which makes the URL change from an automatic hyperlink to just text.

I don't remember if that's done on purpose or just a bug with the PM editor.

There is an outstanding PM bug... it munges colons. Editing and quoting PMs destroys smilies too.

FYI - The new PM thing might not have worked correctly. Seems as though if someone replies to a PM you sent, you don't get the email. If someone sends you a fresh PM, it does.

I've gotten several replies.

Could you check your spam box please? something in the changed text might have gotten it shipped there.

I haven't had an issue. I am now getting lots of Emails from replies and fresh. It takes a few for the mail to show up but I get it.

You're right, spam, not sure how one got through and the others did not.
