Hedala Tolen closes a book she was reading. The ancient book was purchased by Janos at Passk's Oddities aboard Junkfort Station nearly six months ago. What seemed like an oddity of a book, written in a lost language, it was revealed that the young girl was able to translate the ancient text using some sort of latent Force ability. “The History of the Jedaii” was being read by Hedala to Master Tan, who was an instructor and educator of Jedi padawans before the Clone War began. “It’ll be okay master,” she says trying to comfort him.
“Yeah, they’re JEDI! There’s nothing they can’t do!” Tomas Chias, the youngling boy, exclaims as he stands up raising and swirling his fist around as if he’s fighting with a lightsaber.
Master Tan notices a blinking light on the dashboard and realizes a new encrypted message had just arrived from the Jedi’s benefactor. The ‘benefactor’ had been working with Jedi Master Tan since the initial battle on Coruscant where the Jedi Temple was overtaken. The benefactor worked to keep the Jedi informed with their ever-growing intelligence network, seemingly abundant wealth which provided resources, and access to Imperial news which didn’t get broadcast via the now Imperial controlled Holonet News. Taking a deep breath, he sent the message to his terminal.
