Chapter 1 Summaries

Tasked with inspecting a suspected Separatist Cloning facility on the moon of Drenzor, Jedi Shoshannah Nadeel and Padawan Plaba Sundown led a team of Clone Troopers through its dense forests and jungles. Her tracking skills lead them to discover a group of wandering Kajain'sa'Nikto (Red Nikto). When they reached the facility, they found a rogue Jedi in combat with another Red Nikto. After the rogue Jedi fled, Padawan Sundown and the Clones investigated the facility while Jedi Shoshannah, curious about the rogue Jedi, took time to sense her surroundings. Suddenly, the Clones fired on and killed Padawan Sundown and then rushed out of the facility to confront Jedi Shoshannah. Took by surprise, the Clone Troopers' heavy blaster rifles knocked Shoshannah unconscious. When she awoke, she found two used stimpacks and the rogue Jedi standing over the fallen Clones. Jedi Shohannah collected Padawan Sundown’s datapad and lightsaber as the heavily wounded duo ran into an underground tunnel just in time to avoid an air strike which left a giant crater where the facility once stood. Once free of the blast, the rogue Jedi, Manh Toisao, introduced himself and they realized they knew each other as younglings at the Temple.

Assigned to the Boota Ordinance and Resupply Depot, Padawan Urizen Athacorr watched as an antagonistic Padawan Thraka Barzane is knighted. During his daily perimeter patrol, Padawan Urizen found computer spikes in the base's air defense towers which disabled them. Soon afterwards, a Separatist squadron destroyed the base's air defenses as their ground force landed and began to march towards the base. With suspicions of the culprit, Padawan Urizen sought out his master, Jedi Master Drask Caitken. He found Master Caitken dying from a lightsaber wound. Accepting his Master's satchel, the Padawan confronted Jedi Knight Thraka Barzane turning into a skirmish. Jedi Master Lorraf Nolb interrupted their combat by using the Force to push them apart. When the Clones turn on the Jedi, Master Nolb uses the Force, once again, to push the two younger Jedi farther away and toward speeders as he attempted to stand his ground in hopes of giving them time to escape.

On an "off the books" assignment, Jedi Knight Janos Tyree traveled to the Separatist controlled Junkfort Station aboard the Zillo's Shadow. His mission was to meet a mysterious contact and exchange coordinates for one-million-credits worth of spice for a medical droid. On the station, Janos and Wile Landoo, a non-Jedi rodian smuggler cohort, met with Passz, a transhodan information broker. While there, Janos purchased a "rare and ancient" book titled Tale of the Expedition along with payment for information. Passz provided information leading to the identification of their contact, who turned out to be the infamous pirate Hondo Ohnaka. Janso found the pirate in binders and being escorted by a phalanx of droids to be transferred off station. Jedi Knight Janos defeated the security droids and freed the pirate and the medical droid. With little options, they took the Separatist shuttle and escaped the station. When they exited hyperspace, Janos found Hondo had plans to land at the Living Pits of Boonta.

On their way to an emergency session of the Senate on Coruscant, Senator Bail Organa's starship was attacked by pirates. Fighting alongside the Alderaan guard were three Jedi--Jedi Knights Granite and Rikros Batu and Padawan Zett Jukassa. Jedi Knight Granite faced off against the pirate captain, Giro Bahan. After an intense fight, Jedi Knight Granite captured the pirate captain. Jedi Knight Granite and others boarded the pirate vessel, the Vagabond, and landed it at the Alderaan embassy on Coruscant. Meanwhile, Senator Organa headed to the Senate Building with Padawan Zett and Jedi Knight Rikros Batu escorted the captured pirates to the authorities. Without warning, the Clones attacked and killed the padawan standing adjacent to Senator Organa. The Alderaan Guard issued an emergency order and brought Jedi Knight Granite back to their embassy. Without knowing the whereabouts of the other Jedi, Jedi Master Divak Tan and Jedi Knight Granite fled the planet in the Vagabond.

Ashara Bi found herself alone after the Separatists decimated the Nightsisters' village on Dathomir. Seeking answers from Clan Mother Talzin, the Nightsisters’ traded duties in exchange for assistance. Searching for others, she encountered Jedi Master Quinlan Vos morning a fallen friend. When Vos departed, he requested she deliver a journal containing Mother Talzin’s written manifesto titled ‘Wild power’ to a surviving Nightsister. In return, he promised to relay her whereabouts to her former Master, Jedi Master Divak Tan. As she continued onward, she encountered an orphaned, young Dathomrian Nightsister named Merrin. The two trekked through the dense forest and found a battered but not destroyed Nightbrothers' village. Seeking shelter, the remaining Nightbrothers’ lead by Brother Viscus forced Ashara to enter the village through a cave seeped in the Dark Side of the Force. There she encountered several apparitions and overcame fear, anger, and hatred to exit the cave into the village.

Chapter 2 Summaries

Stranded on verdant moon of Drenzor, Jedi Shoshannah Nadeel befriends former Jedi Knight Manh Toisao. After receiving Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi’s message to avoid the Jedi Temple, Shoshannah and Manh decide to travel to the small village to gather more information. As they travel, Shoshannah attempts to read the data downloaded from the facility by deceased Padawan Plaba Sundown’s datapad, but she finds the data only partially decrypted and fragmented due to the Padwan’s sudden death at the hands of clone troopers. When they arrive at the village, they noticed a new presence of clone troopers, the spaceport locked down and reserved only for Imperial use, and the villagers stricken with a deadly sickness. The village’s main export was seafood sent to Saleucami has been hastily overridden by Imperial control and its labor force reorganized and sent to an unknown location as miners. During their visit to the village, a young girl named Hedala is lead to them by the Force. Learning that the girl was waiting for someone to come for her and feeling she is Force Sensitive, Shoshannah and Manh, promise to protect her. Shoshannah meets Parek Mesoth, the village medic. With Shoshannah’s aid, they discover the local sickness is the result of weakened Blue Shadow Virus dispersed into the river and ocean. Manh becomes separated from Shoshannah and Helada as he leads a clone trooper patrol away to allow them to escape the village unnoticed. Shoshannah returns to inspect the destroyed cloning facility to find the source of the virus. Once there, the Zillo’s Beast YT-2400 lands with Wile, Padawan Urizen Athacorr, and Jedi Knight Janos Tyree.

Fleeing the clone trooper controlled Boonta Ordinance and Resupply Depot, Padawan Urizen Athacorr makes his way to the nearest spaceport at the Living Pits. Arriving from the Junkfort Station at the Living Pits spaceport, Jedi Knight Janos Tyree overhears the padawan making a scene while watching Emperor Palpatine’s Proclamation of the New Order speech. With bounties on all Jedi and after making himself apparent as a Jedi, the bounty hunter Graz of Crimson Nova guild ordered Padawan Urizen to surrender. The Jedi managed to evade the bounty hunter by taking a speeder through the streets of the city. After Wile arrived, they intercepted an open frequency Imperial communique stating BORD had captured a Jedi and was transferring them. With a plan to free the Jedi, Uri and Janos sneak through the canyon and towards the mobile, ray shielded prison container. Once they neared the container, the clones attacked. After realizing it was a trap, the container opened to reveal Clone Sergeant Lucky with Jedi Master Nolb’s lightsaber. Taking the lightsaber, the pair barely escape the trap by hailing their ship for extraction. Wile then takes the Jedi to the moon of Drenzo to retrieve his friend, the former Jedi Knight Manh Toisao. On the moon, they meet Jedi Shoshannah Nadeel and the youngling Hedala.

Jedi Master Divak Tan and Jedi Knight Granite travel to Dathomir at the request of Jedi Master Quilan Vos who informed Master Tan that his former padawan, Ashara Bi, was stranded on the remote world. They are informed by their mysterious benefactor of a shuttle leaving Alderaan with Jedi Master Jocasta Nu, Chief Librarian of the Jedi Archives, as a prisoner. When they arrive, they discover starships engaged in combat with the Imperial prison shuttle which blocks its escape. Quickly boarding the vessel, Jedi Divak Tan, Granite, and Ashara Bi defeat a large squad of clones to free two prisoners, Jocasta Nu and Tomas Chias (a youngling). They learn the male youngling was being taken to the Jedi Temple by Jocasta Nu to become a Jedi youngling. After plotting the prison shuttle’s course to head straight into the local sun, they return to their ship and depart the system. Jocasta Nu informs them that her next stop was the moon of Drenzor where she was to take another youngling to the Jedi Temple. Sensing danger, Masters Tan and Nu suggest heading there to take and protect the other youngling. When they arrive, they notice another ship with Padawan Urizen Athacorr, Jedi Knight Janos Tyree, Jedi Shoshannah Nadeel, and youngling Hedala.

Chapter 3 Summaries

The Jedi safely arrived on the planetoid named Polis Massa, which was destroyed by an unknown cataclysm creating an asteroid field. More than five hundred years ago, an archaeological base was established to study the planet’s destruction and here the Jedi make their base among their benefactor's archeologists, miners, and technicians. The droid AZI-3 quickly makes his home within the medical bay by organizing the various droids and managing their medical tasks and duties. Meanwhile, Masters Divak Tan and Jocasta Nu begin planning for how the Jedi will survive and continue their traditions onto the next generation. With Imperial control of the Holonet, information useful to the Jedi becomes scarce as they turn to the illegal "Shadowfeeds" and courier droids sent by their benefactor for news. The two younglings, Tomas Chias and Hedala Tolen, begin studying and training with Master Tan and the other Jedi.

With the aid of Jedi Knight Janos Tyree and the facility's computer lab, the Project Morguaki files from Padawan Plaba Sundown's datapad are decrypted for Jedi Shoshannah Nadeel. With the discovery of a potential cure for the deadly Blue Shadow virus, Janos, Shoshannah, and Hedala head to Iego to collect roots from a rare carnivorous plant. On the way to Iego, Hedala dechipers a book purchased by Janos while he was at the Junkfort Station. The book titled, "History of the Jedaii," contains origin stories of the Jedi and is written in an language unknown to everyone other than Hedala. When they arrive on Iego, Janos and Shoshannah work out a deal with a local tinkerer named Jaybo. In exchange for a delivery of goods, he assists them with finding the Reeska plant. As Shoshannah calls upon the Force to immobilze the angered, carnivorous plants, Janos retrieves the roots and the pair safely return to their ship. Meanwhile, Helda befriends a reprogrammed B1 Battle Droid designated as R0-GR. Once Jaybo's cargo is loaded onto the Zillo's Shadow and the ship departs Iego, Janos discovers the contents of the three large containers are nine B2 Super Battle Droids, which are dangerous and illegal to possess. Landing at Junkfort Station to make the drop off, the Jedi successfully deliver the goods to the unidentified buyer who turns out to be, none other than, Hondo Ohnaka. With Hondo nearby, the Jedi quickly decided to depart the station before the inevitable trouble that always finds Hondo arrives.

At the Polis Massa Research and Mining facility, Jedi Knight Granite and Jedi Padawan Urizen Athacorr begin securing the facility. While researching the planetoid, Urizen discovers reports indicating the presence of non-sentient, worm-like creatures living underground, who appear to be offshoots of the joopa species. The five hundred year old reports speculate the worms are native to the planet before its destruction and since then their lungs have evolved allowing them to live outside the facility. The reports speculate vibrations and sounds from the mining equipment keep them at a distance and they've had no encounters since the mining began. While placing a beacon, Uri and Tomas are attacked by a worm. When Tomas attempts to use the Force to hurl a rock at the creature, a violent Force Storm appears which drives away the worm and forces the group to take shelter in a nearby cave tunneled by the worms. During the storm, one of the technicians is struck by lightning and later recovers thanks to the bacta tanks at the base. The group also notices rocks glow light blue when a Jedi is nearby and disintegrate when the Force is called upon in their proximity. When they return to the base, Jedi Knight Granite begins work on a ground penetrating scanner as Padawan Uri discusses their encounter with Master Tan. Following his leads, Uri speaks with the geology team and discovers the rocks are called Kallida and the special qualities relating to the Force were unknown to the miners and geologists. The rocks are being shipped to the Mining Guild on Mustafar.

Master Jocasta Nu and former Jedi Ashara Bi have not been seen at the station in several weeks. Their locations and activities are currently unknown.

Chapter 3 Awards

Experience
Shoshannah and Urizen gain 15xp
Granite and Janos gain 10xp

Morality
For those that used the Dark Side of the Force, your Morality won't go up as much as others. I'll edit everyone's char sheet to update their Morality values.

Mentorship
A mentor makes it easier for members of the group to obtain Force powers and skills. When a Player Character purchases the basic version of a Force power, they may decrease the cost of the basic power by 5. Alternatively, when a Player Character purchases the first rank of a skill (rank 1), they may decrease the cost of the skill by 5.

This requires the Mentor character (PC or NPC) to have purchased at least 2 additional Force talents of the Force power (basic power + 2) or a total of 3 skill points invested in a specific skill. The Apprentice must have trained with the Mentor during the same chapter prior to the end of the chapter or the Mentor must be part of the group between chapters when the XP is awarded.

A character may only use this feature once per game session/XP award.

This applies to both career and non-career skills. Hence, the first point in a career skill would cost 0 (5-5=0); the first point in a non-career skill would cost 5 (10-5=5). If you already have 1+ rank in a skill or have 2+ Force power upgrades, you cannot be mentored in that skill. Mentorship is an "introduction" to a skill and not advanced training.

Learning New Force Powers

Due to Order 66 and the collapse of the Jedi Order, knowledge about the Force is more difficult to acquire. From Order 66 forward, to learn a *new* basic Force Power you must have a mentor. This mentor can be a NPC, PC, or holocron. The mentor must have the "Basic" Force Power that you wish to learn. A PC can mentor another PC in any Force Power they possess.

Feedback:

Chapter 3 was somewhat cut short due, but hopefully we'll revisit the unseen plot threads at a later date.

Chapter 4 will be a full party chapter with everyone in the same thread.
