This forum contains those "neverending stories" where one person writes a bit of a story and then another person picks it up where the previous left off. Should make for some interesting reading.

Post by Kilroy » Sat Sep 20, 2008 3:25 am

The Cranhollow hunters moved silently through the field's edge, staying in the treeline out of sight. The five hunters with Hern were all equipped with bows and arrows, and each had their hunting knives by their side. It was mid-morning and they had not seen any sign of their prey.

If they scored a big kill today, they could rest easy for a couple days and wouldn't have to worry about their Clan's stomaches going empty. If they didn't find meat today, things would be different....

If this thread goes dead for more then a week, I will keep posting after myself and keep the story going

... wore metal across their chest and were heavily equiped. They didn't seem to notice the hunting party in their midst, not being used to the wild and what is could bring. The foreign men were joking around not paying much attention to their surroundings when suddenley the leader looked up...

...just in time to see what carried death to him. The beast emerging from the low scrub and catching the man across the throat with a massive claw. Then the creature roared, the sound sending shivers of terror through man and beast alike. The horses of the iron men rearing and dropping several of the riders unceremoniously to the ground, before turning to bolt across the field. The bears great teeth filtering hot breath in the face of the leader as blood drains away from his body. Then the hunting party spies something hidden within the bushes. The curious cubs moving towards them, even as their mother dispatches a second of the horsemen with a ferocius bite that removes the mans face. A third man encased in a woven coat of steel draws a slim sword from a scabbard at his hip and...
