Pusan - Mahasarpa: Ascension & Darkness Rising

Post by Vardaen » Fri Mar 26, 2010 6:27 pm

Game: Mahasarpa: Darkness Rising (D&D 3.5) and Mahasara: Ascension (D&D 3.5)

Character: Pusan the Yogi of the Batasa-Afiz
Player: MadVlat then Soshi.Toru
The Batasa-Afiz are small, but they are powerful, mostly populated by Muni, Baladhara, Yogi, and Gudna Muni (Tattoed Monks). Recently they have seen the signs, the Nine Falling Stars. The time of the Muhkar is at hand, and he must be returned to the temples. They lost him after his foster family was slain when being moved, and have begun searching for him in more and more earnestness. A few agents have been sent out to various locations, one of them to each of the City States, and one to Mahanaga '€" that is you. Along the way you encountered Yuan-ti, Lizardman, and a mobilized army that marched off to the west (nearly 100,000 strong). The jungle has turned into swamps and bogs, almost over night, and the foul taint of something spreads from the Snakeman Capital (and once capital of the Seven Kingdoms). You are actually captive, caught by scouts of the Yuan-ti, and now they move you, in transit through the swamp south toward one of their camps where they have made it clear you will be tortured before becoming a Histachi Broodguard (a twisted mindless beast of the Yuan-ti).
Joined: While the Harbingers are exploring some ruins of ancient Mahanaga they come across prisoners of the Yuan-ti. Pusan is among them as he was captured seeking the Muhktar (Azora). They free the Yogi and he joins them as a worshiper of Kali-Ma and Azora.

Opening Posts: Holy Muhktar!

Death: In the grand chamber of the Shadar-Kai Tower the group confronts a power group of enemies consisting of the High Priest, Grand Sorcerer, and Elder Yogi (and a dozen Wardens). Forgoing talking to the powerful group as Grub leaps into action to steel the Book of Lost Knowledge, the Shadar-Kai retaliate in full. After only a single round of powerful spells and psionics Pusan's body is shreded by a Blade Barrier and an Ice Storm killing the Yogi along with the Mystic Narendra.

Death Scene: Ooops There I Go!
