Bjorn Takes off his overcoat, and eyes the lead dog, and lets his clothing go.

Wulf grins as he sees his brother's plan, and tries to direct his sled dogs to aid in his brother's attempt to entangle the other sled's lead dogs.

Wulf's sled picks up speed and he puts another few meters between Ulberth's and his sled. Now he has come down the ledge and there is a frozen lake here. The sleds can either go around in on a safe route (which takes a bit longer), or go straight across it, where there is some risk of breaking in.

On the way down, Bjorn throws his overcoat at the dog and soon feels the stinging cold air as it rushes past. The leather overcoat hits the dog in the face and he falls down! Ulberth can just in time stop his dogs and prevent an accident, but his sled is at a standstill until his dogs are set up again.

Bjorn smiles, the cold air biting is immediately warmed seeing his plan work.
"Great work Wulf, we can go around the lake, the others will have to risk cutting across the lake to catch us, its time they take a risk."

Wulf nods at his brother, then guides the team of dogs around the lake. "Wonderful job tripping the dogs up, brother!"

While Ulberth and his partner get their dogs set up again, cursing loudly, Wulf and Bjorn drive on, going round the lake on free and even ground.

Bjorn grins hearing the cursing of Ulberth.

keeping a very very close eye on the other sled as wulf pushes on.

Wulf barely restrains a howl of delight at the other's cursing, not wanting to spook his dogs. He continues to guide his sled around the lake quickly but carefully.

As Wulf and Bjorn yell out with glee their sled hits a hidden root under the snow and it suddenly jerks. Wulf can keep on track though and the only thing lost is a bit of speed.

Ulberth races his sled over the lake taking the direct way and trying to cut off the Sigurdson's sled. There is a strange sound coming from the ice, a kind of groaning, but for now, nothing happens.

if we take our sled in the shallows could it be possible to create extra tension on the ice and cause it to collapse?
