Varic remains outside of the hut, the dwarf however later if ask will not join in, he's clearly uncomfortable around the 'witch' and is no warrior.

James and Tsura both agree to help Margita, to repay her kindness, and she smiles, "Excellent, the Wyverns perfer to come out at night to hunt, so now is the time to set yourselves on the path. Take the pig farmer's path southeast out of town, you can't miss it by the smell. Turn left when you reach the great oak, and then you'll see the bog appear on your right. The Wyverns live in several caves that dot the area at its center. They shouldn't be hard to locate. Bring me back atleast one, but the more the better." She sits on the bed next to the baby, "I would hurry on your way, the time for hunting wyverns is just about right."

Tsura follows James and stows her belongings for a long trip ahead.

Arkahm said he was still interested in this game, but I haven't seen a post from him. I'm going to move us forwar and see what happens.
The Witcher and the Gypys both agree to try and recover the parts from the Wyvern that the woman wants in thanks for helping with the baby. So without delay the pair leaves the building and heads back into the village looking for Varic the Dwarf. The long beared dwarf is standing right where you left him, about third yards away from the 'witch's' house. The pair explain to the dwarf their goals, and he just laughs at them, "Well good luck folks, you are on yer own with that one. If you need I can take yah to the edge of the swamps, isn't far." The trio then head south out of town vearing to the east somewhat. After about an hour of walking the dwarf stops, "Up there... see those fireflies..." you can in fact. Up ahead in the now growing dusk you can see a collection of firefies among some large trees. "The swamp starts right about there. Follow the path as best as you can, going off the path you are just asking for leaches in your underpants and mud in your boots. Good luck, and if you make it back, I'll be keeping a seat warm for you at the Slaughtered Lamb."

Sorry about the delays. Had some RL probs and then I'm having major posting issues as well with the site timing out.
"We will see you then." James says to the Dwarf and starts leading the way into the swamp towards the fire flys. "Stay close Gypsy. I don't want you to get into those leaches he was talking about." He leads on keeping to the path looking for signs of the wyverns.

The pair head into the swampy bog, the ground is clearly muddy and spongy off the trail, but the trail itself seem firm enough. There are signs of foot traffic this way. A short way into the swamp those tracks end at a patch of Berbercane bushes that appear to be picked clean of their fruit.

Gazing into the growing haze of dusk The Witcher and the Gypsy move uneasily. Fireflies linger just out of reach off the trail, the water ripe with weeds and mud. Winding its way into the swamp the trail curves and circles, it rises up slightly and in two places it is flooded, and you are forced to walk through muddy puddles no deeper than the tops of your boots.

Eventually you both pause as a loud reptilian cawing is heard. A flock of birds takes to the air up a head fleeing the noise, and flying over head past you toward the village. The beasts you seek must be up ahead.

Tsura flicks her wrist drawing her fine blade and arms herself quietly with her buckler. She stays close to and behind James.

James draws forth his silvered long sword preparing for battle with whatever may come. He expects that this will not be as easy a battle as the healer made it seem.

Drawing blades the two moves forward slowly, the Witcher's Silver Blade catches the fading light and glitters brightly in the last rays of the sun. Behind him Tsura holds a short blade ready and with some skill it would seem. The pair stop, there up ahead is their target, a wyvern on a small hill, apparently in a nest like collection of brush.

The trail snakes forward, reaches a small hill, and then vanishes there. Between the small hill and the wyvern's one is a patch of swamp water. Trees and brush and stones are everyplace, some stones large enough to stop on, others covered in slime and moss. Looking around through the gloom you don't see the female wyvern, the mail has luckily gone out hunting, now is your chance.
Alright you currently are undetected, if you want to preform any pre-combat action: drink potion, use class ability, spell buff, now is the time. After your single action, I'll roll initiative and the combat will begin.

Moveing from your location will trigger the Wyvern to detect you so moving isn't really an option.
Image

So the brown and green/brown is solid ground and movement is normal over it. The water like area is...water! Knee deep or more, and it causes movement to be at 1/2 and is considered difficult terrain (tumble/jump/balance issues). There are also pockets of deeper water that may cause Entanglement.

Any space that has an object in it that takes up 1/2 of the space requires you to "squeeze" though it, limiting movement. ie Tree trunks, large rocks, heavy brush. The large rock in between the isles is moss free and just sticks up from the water some. (large enough to stand on).

The sun is setting, if the combat takes over 5 rounds, the dusk becomes night, and light becames an issue (you'll move from normal light to Shadow Illunimation for 5 more rounds, then to darkness after that.).

Where the male wyvern is, you don't know.

The map is large I know, the next maps will be smaller, but this one is large so you have some detail to see.

James: Knowledge Nature Check: Take 10 = 17 Success

Occurrence: Wyverns live in the wilderness or near human settlements; they are a natural element of an ecosystem; they are prized by druids, who tame them.

Immunity: Resistant to stun and poison attempts.

Susceptibility: Sensitive to silver and Ornithosaur Oil.

Tactics: They dive at their opponents, try to knock them down and poison them with venom.

Alchemy: Toxin and wing membrane, venom glands.

Wyverns are unlucky to be frequently mistaken for dragons. Seeing a reptile approaching a flock of sheep, peasants panic. They expect it to breathe fire, massacre everyone and abduct the local virgins. While it is true that wyverns hunt sheep, they neither breathe fire nor lay waste to whole villages. And they are completely indifferent tirgins.

Tsura chants an old song softly, it is an epic tale of glory and battle against incredible odds. It stirs the soul to greatness.
