Rambad glances at Kasib, "Kasib now, you wouldn't want to cause any trouble would you? No. Why don't you go freshen up, you are starting to smell a little, get some perfurm put on in the lavatory we passed, and I'll stay here and talk with Wali about the best way to keep your other hand intact." Rambad gives the Rawun a wink that the Mamluk can't see.

Kasib nods, "Of course, I always wish to be fresh." He beings to think what the old woman told him when lodged with those barbarians. Kasib frowns for a moment and walks back toward the lavatory. On his way he diverts and begins walking up the the third floor where the harem is.

"It seems to me," Ahmed begins, "That things are mostly in order here. I'll leave you two to your meeting and go see if I can help our other friends out at all." Smiling and nodding to Kasib he starts to make his way out.

Kasib has luck slipping off to the lavatory, but turns from there and heads up the stairs quickly bounding two stairs at a time. He reaches the top of the stairs for the second floor, and continues up the stairs to the thrird floor. Once there he finds that the third floor has several doors, all leading to different rooms, porbably the rooms inside are all connected to one another by internal doors.
Ahmed suggests he's leaving for to find the others, leaving Rambad to hrang the guard into remaining with him. "Alright Ahmed tell them we will try and meet up later tonight, perhaps after dinner?" He smiles at the Mamluk, who just stares back blankly like a good bodguard should do.
Ahmed head out, into the main hall, and then slips around 'under' the stairs toward the back of the house and the Labratory of Mabruk. There he finds two large iron double doors, with a cool white light that seeps out from between the cracks in them.

Kasib smiles happily, looking for the harem door. He is not sure what he is going to do when he finds it. But his curiosity is certainly peaked. The rawun makes sure he finds the door that Noora had pointed out.

The harem consists of all four doors, three of the doors are likely bed rooms, from what Noora said: One for Bassam, one for Mabruk, one for Liana Ubadha's mother, and the fourth for a common room between them. Kasib guesses as best as he can and picks one door, through the key hole is a plush rich bed, vaugly off to the side of his field of vision the shape of a woman can just barely be seen.

Ahmed wanders over tot he large iron doors and places his ear against it, listening carefully to find out if anyone might be inside. Pausing every now and then to check the hall and ensure no one is coming. If he doesn't hear anyone inside, he'll search the door for traps and to determine if it is locked.

Kasib smiles, "The stars are lovely through here," he says to himself. He squints and attempts to get a really good look. Then he considers and stands up. "This could be a really bad idea." He scratches his chin, gives the peep hole another look and decides. He raises up a knocks on the door.

Re: 1006 Adventures: Birthrights - Mistaken Identi
** Ahmed **
The Sal'uk puts his ear to the door and listens. He can hear the bubbling of beakers and the sounds of someone working inside as if in an alchemist lab. There is the occational clink of glass on glass, or the movement of a chair. A muttered arcane word is said in hushed tones over some unseen potion being brewed. There is no doubt someone, probably Mabruk, is within. Ahmed still checks the door for traps or for locks, and while he does not locate a trap, he is certain the door is both locked and Arcane Locked which will require some assitance, perhaps from Ka'im or Kasib, to overcome.
** Kasib **
He considers. A bad idea perhaps, but when has that stoped him in the past. He knocks, and as his hand hits the door it swings open with a creaking of a hinge that has not been oiled in many years. The door opens into a room that is cooler than the rest of the house. Inside a plush bed, many dressers and vanities are about, and the furnishings of a rich woman's room. There is however a fine layer of dust on everything, as if nothing has been disturbed in here for months, perhaps years.
Sitting on the edge of the bed is a woman with her head in her hands. She is weeping softly, and doesn't seem to notice Kasib open the door. Her form is slender, beautiful, but strangely out of fashion. Behind her is an end table with a gold framed picture painted of a woman holding a swaddled baby. It is then that Kasib realizes he can see the picture through the woman, not around her. The ghostly form of the woman is transparent! Kasib's resolve to be here is shaken, but not broken, his curiosity still holds, something familiar about the woman calling on him to remain.

Ahmed frowns over the discovery and shakes his head. Things certainly aren't right in this household. An arcane alchemist wife, a sick husband, and a missing child. No, whether Kasib is the lost child or not things here deserve to be looked at. Nodding to himself he walks away from the door and heads to the house's exit trying to make note of any possible break in points for the future. Once outside the house he'll head in search of the monkey man, wanted more than ever to learn some secrets about this strange city.
