1006 Adventures: Birthrights - Jabiir in Dhiliz

This thread arrives from the 1006 main thread on page 55 the night of the feast at Bassam Reehan's estate.

Jabiir has shattered the cursed Disk of Suhail and left the estate after waking once more in a fog. He doesn't remember what happened, only that Sayyid claimed to be having some nightmare and Jabiir pressed the seal against his head and broke the dream. He woke sitting on the floor, flung the disk and broke it and then left the estate in a fury.

He now walks the streets of Dhiliz aimlessly...

Aimless is right, Jabiir storms off in a random direction, he dosen't know where he travels and does not care. He has a few coins to his name but he is far from anywhere he might call home. The streets move by in a blur...

[Vardaen]

The streets are dark, nighttime in the Gateway city is not a safe time. The barbarian stalks away from the temples and the richer districts and finds himself walking down a narrow road with a canal on his left, the south side of the city. Narrow stone buildings, windowless stand up on his right blocking view that direction. A coughing is heard behind him as two men shamble into the 'street' twenty feet behind him. The men are dressed mostly in tattered clothing, beggars by the look of them. Two more hobble out fourty feet infront of Jabiir. They men are clearly poor men, wearing dirty clothing, and looking like they haven't bathed in months. The sound of knuckles cracking, and the glint of half hidden katars shine in the light. Behind the two men up front comes a skinny looking man with a silver tooth.

His voice is high pitched and scratchy, "What do we have here?" He lifts his arm into the air and a winged creature comes swooping down from the building nearby. The bird lands on his hand and climbs up his arm to his shoulder. No wait, its not a bird, its a monkey -- a winged monkey! The little evil beast wears a red vest, and a fez, and makes a vile sounding Eeek as it takes home on its master's shoulder. The ring leader scratches at his day old stubble on his face, and while he appears clean, he just seems filthy. "You ain't suposed to be here effendi. Its going to cost you now." The four other men shamble forward a few more feet and plant themselves.

[Wayloss]

"Get out of my way you monkey loving wretch! Or I'll carve you up and serve your monkey to the flies!" Jabiir does not even bother to stop, he brings the Great Scimitar he has yet to use off of his back, he puts on a grim vissage even as he spins the blade in a threatening manor.

The skinny Monkey Man takes a step back, not easily intimidated by most men. However Jabiir doesn't look like most men. "Not a problem effendi. I'll not bother you one bit." He waves a hand at the men, "My ghuls however have smelt fresh blood and can't be stopped. Good luck!" The Monkey Man and his winged monkey slip into the nearby alley leaving Jabiir and the beggars to square off, not about to linger around now.

The beggars pull off their ragedy hoods, and under them you see the faces of ghuls! Bad memories flood into Jabiir's minds eye. Ghuls, a funeral hall, and a terrible event that he refuses to think about, that he can't think about. His hands, his arms, his legs, the bitting, the chewing, the sucking of marrow!!!!

Now, there are 2 in front and 2 behind both pairs are 30ft away.

Ghuls! The thought nearly stops the barbarian, causing him to shudder he almost misses a step before a red haze lights up the backside of his brain, a familiar tingle passes throught to the eyes which turn the darkness to a shade of red only the truly blood mad can recognize. He breaks into a dead run angling as he does so to pass to the right flank of the forward most pair he does not slow for a second. Unlike anything these beasts might have fought Jabiir takes the off angle approach, the mighty black blade trailing a second behind him. He runs right past the ghul almost as if he had not taken a split second to angle the black blade enough to cut the creature. He slides to a stop and turns the blade over in his hands as he turns to face the first rush. A cruel grin on his face.

Action

Rage, Move forward, end up as far right as I can against the forward pair and still attack. Useing spring attack Hit him and move my 40 foot movement out of his attack range down the street

Round 1 Initiative: Jabiir 15.3, Ghul 15.2

Jabiir springs forward in a blood fueled rage. He is a blur of motion, as he angles to the right, to get some cover behind him. As he charges passt the Ghuls he sweeps his blade into the two in front. The black blade slices through the neck of one, and before Jabiir realizes it he's slicing into the next one as well. He leaps past turning around looking down the street in a red haze, two Ghuls lay dead on the street, his own body tingling strangely from the power of the black greatsword.

The two other Ghuls charge forward closing the gap in seconds. They are able to charge head long, headless of the obvious danger that Jabiir is to their unlife, but they are commanded, and hungry and they attack.

Jabiir's hands strain to crush the grip of the strange black sword his breath comes in heaving gasps. He lunges forward at the ghul's A fool's attack but he doesn't care anymore. He screams as the huge blade comes across to remove the head from one of the ghul's

Round 2 Initiative: Jabiir 15.3, Ghul 15.2

Jabiir charges headlong into the Ghuls that are much closer now. He swings the massive scimitar from left to right and chops the head off of another one of the undead creatures. The weapon cleaves right on through and sinks into the torso of the last Ghul, the vicious weapon chops the skinny undead into several pieces as arms and torso are cut clean through! The threats are over, but Jabiir remains lusting for blood.

"Get back here you monkey loving scum!" Jabiir sprints off after the man with the monkey, knowing he is only a few seconds behind, letting the blood lust continue.
