1004 Adventures: Invitation to a Funeral

"The Seven Voyages of Sinbad,""Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves,""Aladdin and His Magic Lamp" -- these and other classics fill the pages of the Arabian Nights. Each story is told by a very wise and beautiful young woman called Scheherazade, who reveals them night after night to a king with a murderous heart. The first of the thousand-and-one tales is Scheherazade's own...the last may be yours. Join the adventure in a land of sultans, genies, and desert nomads as we explore the world of Zakhara, The Land of Fate. (A vWorld Expansion)

Kasib grunts, 'œI would rather not be kicked, thank you very much!' He frowns, 'œI really am going to miss the city,' he says quietly and to himself. Sighing, he rather ineptly guides the camel along, often times losing momentary control over the beast. He prays that the camel will not be like Jubba, but, he does actually smile when he thinks of the cranky animal. 'œLet us sing a song of '¦'

The rawun then goes into a very long winded song about traveling. His voice is fine, but, as usual, he is no wordsmith. 'œTraveling is not fun, but we are on the run! Kasib the great, Ka'im the late, Jabiir '¦ the crazy guy, Rambad the Ghulslayer! '¦ Sayyid the '¦ mule's ass '¦ 'œ He pauses, looking down at Abdalla, and then says, 'œAbdalla the very handsome dwarf .. not as handsome as Kasib the Great, however, but very handsome!' Amazingly, all this gibberish is in song form, and is sung. The group can expect many more days of this kind of storytelling.

And they're off

Sayyid hoists himself back onto his camel and gets it moving again. He makes no comment as he's called a mule's ass, but he's still smiling from the comfort of riding. If his employer wants to make cracks about his lineage or looks, that's just fine with him as long as his gold is still the right color. His old pack camel is now laden with a good amount of the party's water, and is attached to his riding camel by it's bridle. He leads the party off into the city's farmland and down the river, an easy, comfortable trip, if you are able to get comfortable on the back of a camel.

The End

The group leaves the confines of the city riding off up the river's south bank. With the musical talents of Kasib the trip proves to be a long one...

Here ends the Thousand and One Adventures: Invitation to a Funeral thread. The group has done well, only letting Jabiir die once this time! I'm awarding XP to everyone via PMs, most characters will be leveling up at this point. Watch for Thousand and One Adventures: Pilgramage for the next chapter.
