Winter Court Help!

Hey all, you might have read I was accepted into AEG's Winter Court this year again. I have been given the gift of being able to play my own homebrw character (here is hoping I get a card out of it!).

I'm looking for some character ideas. I'm Unicorn, and can not have any direct ties to Spider (pout). 45 character points, and 45 experience points, I have to use Revised Edition (which I don't have so please help me!).

I'm looking for some character ideas and what not.

So far I'm thinking Horiuchi, who showed no shugenja talents and was fostered to the Ide where he excelled at the Ide Dueling school.

Disadvantage: Lost Love - Family (wiped out when the Horiuchi were all recently killed off).

Advantage: Social position, married to the Ide School Sensie or something similar.

Disadvantage: Meddler perhaps... would really let me get into the thick of it.

Anyhow...I need to get that Revised book.

Yeah me thinks you really need to get the Revised book as well, unless you don't care if your char is properly min/maxed. Then you could just build it with 3E rules and I could check to see if anything has changed for your build with 3ER. Also if you have any questions please feel free to PM me. If you end up being a duelist I think winterrat posted the updated dueling rules somewhere didn't he?

Thanks Wulf, I've tried getting the Revised Torrent many times, but never with any luck, its always just the regular version. I'll try this one.

I'm going to start building him without the book, and see about getting some help from you folks, thanks mackaber for the offer, I will likely take you up on it.

I have until the 16th. The main thing for me is the history/story of the character, making the stats after can easily be accomoplished, and since its mainly RP, (last winter court there were not fights or dice rolling) it isn't critical to min/max here.

This one is less than a month old and is valid (i.e. starts downloading NP). Have had good luck with the website too with files being proper and what not - so hopefully it shall work for you!

I wouldn't suggest buying any more books, as 4E is right around the corner.
