Welcome!

Post by TetNak » Tue Jan 04, 2005 8:08 pm

Welcome to the Everlasting!

This game will be "post-apocolyptic" in nature. But, please forget everything you have ever considered post-apocolyptic. Most of it won't apply. Perhaps the best way to describe it is simply a new fantasy world.

Technology will be mixed with magic and other things. I expect this will be somewhat "strange". Hopefully it will be fun.

In case anyone noticed, some ideas are taken from Steven King's Dark Tower series. Please do not read to much into that either, because I have not read those books, but my girlfriend swears by them.

Anyway, please post here if interested in playing, I can of course provide better information later. As you might expect, this is a new world for me, so I will be creating it as I go along with some things set beforehand (Such as CoF and Shei-Salom).

Thanks and Welcome!

FYI - I went ahead and purchased GURPS Magic today. I hope by using GURPS Magic & Fantasy I can run a "tighter" GURPS game than before.

Thanks!

Uh...interested...even though you say it doesn't follow the regular rules of post-apocolyptic...yet I sense it can be entertaining...

So rules for characters and so on?

Techromancer

I'm up for playing a Techromancer :-) or something more mundane if that works better.

Cool. I have two pretty much -in- people already (They have characters). Wargie liked Weasel so much, he's going to play him. IronCrossX has also created a very neat character.

I'm going to be posting some more so we all have a chance to figure out the world a bit more.

Rory - A techromancer, or something like it, is cool. I would like to have a "Gunner" for Weasel's buggie.

"Buggies" are three wheeled vehicles. They usually have a mounted gun on the back. Since Weasel is now a PC, it make since to have his companion along.

I'll post more about "Drivers" later.

Depending on what is available (I mean toys! ;)), I might very well be that Gunner for the vehicle.

How many people can fit in a buggy anyway? Would a buggy normally have navigator or somesutch?

Techromancers are rare. Are they mixed in with normal folk leading a second (secret) life or are they seperate from society?

For mutants, do you plan on selecting a handful of mutant-only advantages/disadvantages we can choose? Or, do you want ideas? Maybe they attempted to engineer some for specific tasks?
