Rare Answers Contest

Post by Grimbold » Fri Apr 11, 2008 12:25 am

I saw this kind of competition on another forum and thought I might give it a try.

The idea is to answer the following ten questions and private mail the answers to me. (please use the subject 'œRAC <your nickname>' so I can keep a little bit of order.)Of course, everyone only gets one entry.

You will get a score based on how rare your answer is. If many people share the answer, they will get a higher score. If no one else got you're answer, you will score one point. If one other share you're answer you will score two points and so on. If your answer is wrong you will score equal to half the number of people who sent an answer. (rounded up)

Then the scores for each answer will be multiplied together. The one with the lowest score win, with 1 as the perfect score.

Answers must be in by 31 April 2008.
Depending on the number of answers, it might take a while for me to process the results.
I can't offer a reward other than making up a Haiku for the winner

1) A character from Lord of the Rings. (name and race)
2) A D&D 3.5 spell from the Player's Handbook. (name and page)
3) A (pen and paper) role playing game (game and company please)
4) A character from the six Star Wars films. (name and race)
5) A GM on 'œBrennor's RPG corner' (name the game)
6) A D20 Star Wars prestige class (book and page please)
7) A settlement in Middle Earth (name, country/region)
8.) A fantasy boardgame
9) A (published) D20 or D&D 3.5 setting
10) A member of 'œBrennor's RPG corner' who joined in 2008.

If the rules aren't clear, just post in this thread, I'll try to clarify what I can.

Post away,
Grimbold

So the goal is to get the lowest score possible, and answer correctly, but with the most rare option. Gotcha.

Vardaen wins - as the only one who found all the answers... (two entries in total!) Doh!
