So who goes first in a given round attacker or defender, since if HUKS die in 1 hit that will be a pretty huge advantage for someone.

What about HUK's for 350? Wouldn't that be an option Bit?

Another question I have is how can we make diplomats "messaging" faster? Its hard to plan strategy when communications are so sssslllllloooowwww, (spanning turns)...

neither. Attacks are done in a random order, but destruction doesn't take place until the end of the round. Everything that enters gets a chance to shoot.

it would, but I'm happy with what 400 did,a nd I spent a whole evening on this already.

Yeah, that's semi-intentional. When I automate this game (That's my long-term goal) I may do something to make it faster, but for this run, you're stuck with one message per turn.

My goal is to automate this whole thing and set it up on a server so that I can play, too. Therefore, I'm not adding anything new until this is tested and the code written.
