Precious Cargo

The strange and deadly Eastlands are where wild elves rule. The fey have gone into hiding, or so it is said, and now only the mortal roam the Eastlands. Good and evil are of no concern. Only survival is important where death can come at any time and from any place.

The Dracotaur facing Lizard makes a strange sound that seems to come from its throat. Lizard knows what this means, and instantly a firely 'glob' of mucas is launched at Lizard! The Poison Dusk lizard ducks suddenly and the glob of firey goop lands in the ocean behind him!

The second Dracotaur boards the Savage Horn and immediately runs through the nearest sailor. The elf does not even have a change before he is very dead.

The troglodytes are stuck, upon their own craft, and cannot board the Savage Horn as the elves do well in keeping any a bottle neck formed.

There is a blackscale along with the troglodytes, but the other faces off against Lizard. The injured creature takes its gigantic club and swings down toward Lizard. The lithe creature moves, and the club smashes the railing behind him, breaking it into dozens of pieces but still missing its mark.

Lizard decides he needs to hurry up and take out the last enemies now that Curgas has turned to aid the other sailors on the other ship. With dagger in one hand, and his rapier in the other he hisses loudly and swings with a whipping strike of the rapier's tip at the Blackscale enemy right in front of him.
Should he end the Blackscale he throws the dagger at the last Poison Dusk to the east of him to finish it off. Should he not finish off the Blackscale he swings again at it with his rapier (full attack)

Curgas arrives at the other grayscaler ship's boarding area and immediately begins swinging his great axe at the intruders. He stands in front of a Kuo-Toa with a rather large grin upon his face. The minotaur claims, "You have boarded my ship and now you will not live to see another day!" Grunting fiercely, he takes his axe and chops swiftly at the Kuo-Toa.

Curgas is on a roll. He is quickly slaughtering the Grayscalers. Today has been a trying day but the minotaur seems to be leading his crew to victory against two Grayscaler vessels. His axe swings again, cutting down a Kuo-Toa easily. His feet step over the dead creature and he swings his axe in a backward fashion, slamming into the nearby lizardman and killing it also.

Lizard drives his rapier into the blackscale. The creature scream in pain and slumps to the ground roughly, dead, killed by the much smaller Lizard with relative ease.

Actually, you don't have 2 weapon fighting, and I just realized that. So, I'm not going to let you have your second attack because I haven't been calculating the penalties and didn't for the first attack here

The fight eventually ends.

Curgas and Lizard, along with several of the crew, and Silaqui, vanquish the rest of the Grayscalers. The fighting takes a heavy toll on the ship as Loranzar is killed, any only eight of the sailors remain. Of the sailors remaining, three are injured to the point they may not survive, and certainly cannot aid the sailing of the vessel. Even with land nearby, it will take awhile to get the Savage Horn to shore with the remaining crew.

Silaqui stands over each crewman and prays. She touches each elf's forehead and instantly all their wounds are healed from the battle. This will help the Savage Horn, but still the dead are greater than those alive. The bodies of the dead cause the water around the ship as well as the deck of the ship, to be stained red.

Today was a bloody day.
I won't do that again. Sorry for that mess of a combat

Lizard tumbles under attacks, hamstringing foes and stabbing them in vital organs time and again. He flicks his dagger at one posion dusk lizardman sending the beast over the rail of the ship, only to have his dagger fly up over the railing back into hand seconds later. He jumps over the red caps attacks, rolls around behand the Dacotaur, and climbs through the rigging in order to swing from ship to ship to land behind the enemies that face Curgas to aid his captain against the much larger number of foes on the second ship once he clears his ship. Bloodied, but hardly any his, Lizard moves back to the Savage Horn panting, the exercise both wearing him out and exhilerating him. "We did it captain!" He spins his rapier doing one of his weapon drills as he calls out, "The Sssavage Horn! The Sssavage Horn!" He attempts to boost the morale of those sailors that survived, and to take their mind off the dead - at least for the moment for there is much to do.
No problem its wasn't bad, just alot of work for you!

Curgas' rage has lessened, but the first mate can still see the lingering pain and madness in the captain's eyes. Not only has his ship been attacked, he lost one of his finest crew members today. The minotaur nods to the Lizard's rally call, but then takes the Lizard off to the side.

"Throw the Grayscaler bodies overboard and prepare a sea funeral for our crew. If the maiden wishes to say anything over the bodies, allow her. Send a team to search their vessels then send the things to the bottom of the seas."

The minotaur looks over at the remaining crew and decides, "Let us not tarry long, she (the ship) is still wounded and we must make land to repair ' lest we enter another battle too soon."

The captain begins walking the deck and tossing bodies of the Grayscalers overboard into the waters below. The tossing of bodies seems to relax the captain, but he is still tense from today's happenings.

The battle is won. But the voyage is far from over. The Grayscalers are uncermoniously thrown overboard, but the sailors are lined up neatly next to the rail.

To business first. The remaning sailors board the Grayscaler ships and return relatively empty handed. One sailor reports, "There ain't nothing there, really, no loot, hardly any supplies ..." This is strange, but could suggest they were a fresh fleet and had not taken any vessels yet.

The Grayscaler ships are set ablaze and both eventually sink into the sea. The remaining sailors, Curgas, Lizard, and Silaqui stands over the bodies of the dead as they are prepared to enter their final voyage into the sea.

Lizard doesn't let the crew burn the grayscaler ships before he hurries to the rear of each and checks their rudders. "Captain we might do good to take one of their rudders it will make repairs later much quicker!" If given permission he grabs two men and hurries to detach the rudder on a ship and bring it aboard the Horn.

He helps only afterwards tossing over bodies and looting weapons, including swords and bow and arrows to stock up on the Horn, those at leat will bring enough for a nice night out on the town at the next port for those sailors that survived. He then helps in readying the dead of the Horn.
