Prelude: Untergard

The Old World. A dark and grim place filled with peril and driven by war. From the teeming cities of the Empire to the Elf haunted forests to the lofty crags of the Worlds' Edge mountains where Dwarfs battle with Goblins and their vile kin, a shadow hangs over the world, cast by the dark corrupting hand of Chaos. The Old World's greatest nation, the Empire, seeks to hold back this dark tide.

Seeing the other people pause, Dvar looks down at the man in the pit. "Some'on git that." The dwarf looks at the long armed elf to reach down into the pit, "I'll hold ya..." Dvar moves to grabs Kithron's legs to let the lef reach down and take the locket.

Sorry Tet, lifes been hectic. I'm still with ya.
Ragnar is slower than the others in reaching the pit, and when he does reach it, he wishes that he hadn't.

As he looks down at the dying priest, another warrior lost to the war, he shivers and says a silent prayer to Grungi for the warriors soul.

When Dvar helps hold Kithron's legs, Ragnar helps hold the elf as well.

Kithron does not seem comfortable having two dwarfs hold fast to his legs but scowls only for a few seconds, turning his attention to the priest. He reaches down and tries to get what the priest wants to give him, listening for the good man's last words.
In some way it's strange: The last thing the priest will see is two dwarfs holding an elf...

Dvar holds tight, he doesn't let go but he giggles, "Good thin' I like dis Treehuggg'r, otherwise hed be joining da Priesty." He winks at Rangar and hauls the elf Kithron back up once he's got the locket and spoken to the dying man.
You should be gratefull the last thing he sees isn't two dwarves letting go of an elf :)

I'm still in Tet. College is simply put, killing my free time.
Voldo moves closer to the pit watching for other traps with each step. As he reaches the ledge he peers down at the dangling elf. In an attempt to lighten the mood he utters. "A fin' sacrifice yous 'ave chose me brotters, n'ow drop 'em and da great eart' beastie shall be appeased". His words are slightly clearer to understand than usual as he slaps Dvar on the back. Urgrim lets the others handle getting whatever from the Priest in the pit. He continues his searching to see if there are any other of these pit traps. Wouldn't do to have the others get away from the priest just to fall into another one.

The relic is a small icon, about four inches square, encased in gold and iron. It is obviously ancient but its true value is not immediately apparent. The relic is a portrait of Sigmar himself, painted by some skilled hand, likely a dwarf, at least the dwarves think.

"Promise," he chortles, "Take it to the Temple of Sigmar in Middenheim where it will be safe. Promise ..." Just as he speaks and the icon is taken, the father stops breathing, expiring in the pit as the elf holds the holy token.

The elf climbs out of the pit and examines the icon. "We should take it to Middenheim, I think."

Dvar nods at the Elf, "Keep it safe, you go running off an you'll not like what follows." Dvar then shouts to the others, "Watch the ground for traps and pits. Move slow, careful..." He points at the Captain, "We been 'ere long enough Cap'n, lets git outta 'ere." Dvar helps finish things, and rounds up the people, safely and help get on the road. He pushes to get moving now more than ever.
