Prelude: Untergard

The Old World. A dark and grim place filled with peril and driven by war. From the teeming cities of the Empire to the Elf haunted forests to the lofty crags of the Worlds' Edge mountains where Dwarfs battle with Goblins and their vile kin, a shadow hangs over the world, cast by the dark corrupting hand of Chaos. The Old World's greatest nation, the Empire, seeks to hold back this dark tide.

Evil may be at work. But one thing is clear, something is at work, certainly. Magic, typically, is dangerous at the very least. Wolves, as well, does not bode well. Staring, finally it is Kithron that first recognizes the figure as Granny herself! Chanting there is Granny, waving her arms about and throwing things into the fire. Neither the wolves or Granny have made out the Dwarves and Elf. What they do next is up to them ...

"I donna like this. Ready yer bows boyz, I'm gonna shot that trouble making old woman." Dvar draws back on his bow, and takes careful aim on Granny. He's had enough of the old woman's trouble making. He takes careful aim on her, he waits to see if the others do the same, if they do he nods to them, a signal, and then fires.
Aim at Granny. Wait for others to do the same. Once everyone is aimed, he signals and fires (hopefully everyone fires with him)

Urgrim has nothing to aim at the old lady, he's only brought his Halberd with him. He is surprised by Granny's actions. The little old lady isn't anywhere near as innocent as it seemed.

He whispers back to the man with the bow. "Don't kill. Disable her, so we can find out what is going on."

Kithron points his Elfbow with the notched arrow at the woman, and - when the others are ready, he aims and shoots.

Kithron and Dvar shoot. The arrows fly, both sinking into Granny's trunk. The wolves howl, rushing for the dwarves and elf, but Urgrim, Voldo, and Ragnar hack them to pieces before they get close enough. Granny slumps to the ground, injured gravely, as the fire continues to burn ...

Kithron notches another arrow and waits for any signs of trouble.

Urgrim looks at the others then glances back at the fire, remembering what Granny was doing to the fire to begin with. "Should we put the fire out? Gotta at least go get Granny and figure out what she was doing."

He begins to tromp forward towards Granny, checking on her condition.

Dvar puts his bow away and draws his axe, and double checks one of the wolves to make sure its dead by choping into it once. He then stalks forward to Granny, "Granny! You witch, you traitor!" The dwarf storms right up to the woman and glares down at here to see if she's dead or alive, he waves a hand at Ragnar, "Do what you will wit da fire."

Granny peers up in pain. Ragnar and Voldo get the fire doused while the others check on the old lady. She curses silently, "Sorry father, I failed you," she says. When Dvar and the others come into view she shakes her head. "Why would you not simply let me have my revenge on the damned Sternhauers?!? The killed my father! Should he not get his comeuppance?" Her eyes close and she breathes painfully ...

Dvar can see the old woman is no threat now, so he stows his weapon. "What are you talking about Granny? We saw you preforming preverse and heretical acts here. Explain yourself old woman, please, before any one gets the wrong idea and tries to chop your head off." He glances at Vlodo knowing the dwarf is a bit bloodthirty at times.
