Chapter 1.1: Being a loner is SO goth

The elders can't be stopped, but their inhumanity can't be accepted either. Moving to another city accopmplishes nothing, the situation is the same everywhere. Now the only hpe is to band together. As a group, maybe you and the other young ones can resist the political tides that threaten to erode that which makes you human.

In this, the crew is finally helpful. They know all of her crowd. She may be a part-timer, but she's well funded and dresses well, this counts for a lot. She's actually part of the group that is more respected thanb Harolds. And nearly all of them are here all the time.

Although they filter around everywhere, Her group is usually to be found on and around the single couch in the club. The couch is located just to the left of the confessional booth, which is still there for people to do unspeakable things in.

They are, to be simple, the beautiful people. They spend more on clothing than most people do on cars... and some of them lack cars in order to prove it. They are the elite. Today, there are only four of them. Jayde, Alistar, Cyrus and Jason. Jayde and Jason are, as always, dressed in corperate goth clothing that would almost be acceptable in the outside world if not for their makeup and hairstyles. Alistar has selected a victorian man's doublet tonight, although it does nothing to make her look male. And Cyrus, as always is sleek and snakeline in black vinyl.

Harold smiles a bit to himself and then starts wondering over to the trendy goths. They may have the money, but this is his world every bit as much as thiers...in fact maybe a little more so. Turning on his charm as he approaches Harold greets the designer-goths with a look and a slight nod trying to figure out who he's affecting most with his underowrldy grace as he pulls a clove cigarette from the pack in his pocket.

Harold steps up and knocks out a clove. He looks at the ubergoths and begins to summon up some of the magic that the beast brought with it, nothing obvious happens, but nothing obvious SHOULD have happened.
9 5 5 1 1 vs 7: Botch. The ST decides to be nice and not allow the first roll of the game to be a botch, and it becomes a normal failure.

Harold looks at the three uber-goths and decides his best approach may be to just come out with it. "Hey, you guys are Vanessa's friends right?" He begins, figuring using her name will show some smidgeon of familarity. "I was looking for her, was talking to her at the mall and she left her coat behind." He lies as smoothly as he can.

The four look over Harold for a moment, then each displays their own reaction. The corporates ignore him completely and go back to their conversation. The other two continue looking at him. Ali says nothing, just looking. Cyrus is the only one to get vocal. "Who wants to know?"

Harold turns towards Cyrus, and responds. "Names Harold, come here quite a bit. Aside from being some guy that had the balls to say hi to the pretty chick in the food court one day...no one in particular." He replies to the query. "But that was awhile ago, ain't seen her around at all lately so I thought I'd check with you guys. Figured you'd know when she'd be here next, or if she's chilling at another club now or something."

Cyrus nods briefly and considers. He doesn't spend long torn between being cool and being useful. "She stopped coming out about a month ago. No reason, no explanation, just..." He blows on his fingers, then opens his hand, displaying an empty palm. It's a clear imitation of a magician making something disappear. "Like a virgin on prom night, you know?"

"Damn, well you got a cell number you could give her a ring at? I get it if she ain't int he club scene no more, it happens but I could swing by the mall during one of her shifts and drop off the coat." Harold continues, hoping that if he keeps fishing something will bite.
